That "Don't Worry" part is an eargasm
I had nothing better to do, so I ate a whole yellow bell pepper while listening to it. It made the sweet part of the trip quite literal
A really strong debut and self-capable album. Shame its kinda slept on. Also, if you like Willy Rodriguez, then its a must listen, you can count on that (I think so)
I love their sludgy side. Also if the whole album is on the level of both singles, then it already might be one of the best albums in the year, straight up
Woah, what the hell?
I know I'm late, let me live in my bubble
Guess I like Wednesday, their truly unique sound keeps winning me over. It hits, rips and kicks you down, probably a band that is going to grow onto me more.
Naming your album "Deep Cuts" as "The Knife" is the coolest thing ever.
Its a very colorful and playfull piece of music, if you're familiar with Silent Shout, you would be surprised how much lighter the atmosphere is in Deep Cuts. Both in sound and songwriting its a giant quality leap just between two albums. Just between two records, there it is, one of the greatest glow ups in music I've ever seen, its honestly hard to believe its the same exact band just in the ... read more
What a silly ass cover. Anyway, this album feels underwhelming for me as so far my experience with Machine Girl was stellar. From my choice for the best album of 2025 to another bunch of amaaaaazing work. Gemini is honestly a very weak version of their debut, I'm fine if thats Machine's worst album, its not terrible at all and if it actually is their bottom, then it also means everything else is at least quite solid. And that sets their average bar pretty high, not gonna lie.
Another album which I've picked up just because of the cover and random itch of curiosity. I never expected to like it that much. Eerie but oddly comforting, kinda like a cold pillow in dark bedroom feeling. Its my very first experience with this kind of music and very pleasant to.
Edit: Enchantment and title track are especially great in my opinion
Another Australian psychedelic band which never fails to comfort me. There must be something in their tap water, no way that half of bands like that are from that place without a reason
Does anyone even remember this supergroup? No? Well me neither, and I find it funny cause I'm a big fan of FF for few years now, enough to relisten their work quite often. Somehow FFS is so forgettable that I didn't even realized I haven't heard it before beyond Johnny Delusional. Have I missed anything? Not really, the only real miss here is that it could be a really good album. But thats not the case, its just messy, at its best it offers some silly grooves, but I'm not ... read more
Melt-Banana? Yeah, I can see, pure insanity driven with intention of forcing people to headbang along. Chipmunk vocals threw me off, but those actually fit somehow?
I can easily imagine Fetch being the absolutely worst piece of music ever made in wrong hands, so I find it impressive that they have pulled it out so damn well.
Another beautiful day of not listening to Pitchfork
Edit: Kevin's Car is from now on probably my fav song by them
My experience with electronic music doesn't go far beyond few random albums. It doesn't mean I don't like any, I actually do find this particular, and quite big genre great. Its quite interesting and I hate when people call it "not real music" or some stupid shit like that.
So, some random small finds like this one, remind me of that. At least I can judge this music by how good my experience was with it, thats the point, eh? Of course it is, and I had undeniably great ... read more
Perfectly fine EP. Do not expect anything revolutional here, just music good enough to make you sway a little, good enough to tell its someone else, good enough to assume this "someone else" will surely drop cool stuff as time goes on.
Fun fact: actual cure for cancer was discovered in March 18, 1996
I think last year I have started with Gumshoes too, its music nice enough to get into another cycle with I guess. Any Diffrence from the last year? Well, Bugs Forever was an absolutely magical album, I loved it quite a lot, it was fun. Here? Uhh, roughly speaking, its one song being repeated over and over again, with 3/4 pretty good exceptions.
Its like a cheap hot tea, decent when you want it, but I'm struggling to find some kind of really meaningfull praise.
Anyway, Happy New Year ... read more
Yeah, just a B-sides, heavily unpolished, maybe with a spark of some good moments but generally forgettable. If not Magnethophone, I would say it just sucks.
Also, am I the only one or To The Blade here sounds somehow like Muse B-side?
