Crunkcore isn't bad as people make it out to be IMO. Maybe I haven't listened to enough Crunkcore but this album is really interesting & coherent. Sure, many people wouldn't practically listen to this in their car. It's more targeted towards a CERTAIN demographic of people (scene kids), but honestly, it's vulgar, really strange & interesting time period to be in the late 2000's
Revival is actually over-hated for what it is, sure it's very sloppy in inconsistent, I mean you go from tracks like Tragic Endings into Framed, but hear me out. Revival is sloppy, but I can understand it slightly, it might have a few misses, but some of the tracks like Framed, Castle & Arose, are alright, better than Encore for sure
This is the album, the ONE album that I consider even WORSER than REVIVAL. Fucking ENCORE. This album is absolute BABY PISS. Puke is fucking disgusting, My 1st Single manages to rival Puke as one of the worst Eminem songs ever made, this whole album was just made just half-assing. I don't ever wanna revisit this album, EVER
Blatant attention seeking off of the death of somebody's wife.
This EP doesn't deserve a rating, non the short of just, hateful music just to get a fuel out of attention. This released 4 months after A Crow Looked at Me & what I consider is in very poor fucking taste. Fucking garbage, should've stayed stash away in someone's Discord server so this loser could've gotten ridiculed & bullied for. This isn't going away, sadly & fortunately, this will always be remembered whoever made ... read more
Diabolical, putrid & vile, unforgiving, relentless, blight, This Entire Fucking Battlefield, what more could you be asking for & yearning for?
This album is amazing, Filosofem pioneered the Black Metal genre & gave us a glimpse of this cold, medieval & dungeon-esque soundscape that's heard throughout every single song, with it's lo-fi & aggravating dissonant riffs. This album is living through fimbulwiinter, or fighting & going through one of the most coldest & unforgiving parts of your life.
People should celebrate this album more & disassociate themselves between the artist. This music is for yourself to ... read more
From Filthy Tongue of Gods and Griots' fundamentals & ideas were carried onto the next album & with care, refined what was already a chaotic wall-of-sound into something greater. A harsh & wasted landscape filled with nihilistic & anti-religious lyricism & further expanded on, like politics, Turntablism, Dark Ambient & Shoegaze. Turning something like a bleak & empty landscape, into an industrial city that's devoid of life & soulless, monotone & grey. Absence ... read more
I would wage wars just to have Phil or anybody bring something like this degree of fucking titan soundscape back to the mainstream or music in general. It's varies from being into a campfire with your friend singing, being in the cold forest & dying in the cold forest. It's striking to me as being one of the most beautiful albums I've ever had the enjoyment to listening to. This could be very well, unironically, the reason why I wish to live instead of dying. Fucking stellar & ... read more
Why do you fuckers hate on this album so much? Like this is fucking bussing
Edit: I'm just gonna assume it's probably the demographic that people before time were coming to, like managing to hit the wrong audience after post- blowup, could be me tho
Sudden, subtle, & heartbreaking. Stripped back minimal instrumentation with lyrics that slice you from gut down. God man, I hope Phil is doing alright now, fucking awful
Jeff Rosenstock is the creation of life, Last On My List is fucking the most triumphant pieces of art that I've ever had the pleasure into hearing
EDIT: buying this on vinyl is the best thing ive done this year so far
This really grew on me quick, what a surprisingly playful, (silly) & melodic album 😞
It's like a whole graveyard is having the dopest party during the afterlife, ironically managing to sound really alive & extravagant. Lovely album, thanks dad for telling me about Oingo Boingo without telling me any specific details about what songs you listened to
I actually like this album a little, It might be a little teeny tiny bit over-hated, I mean is certainly overdone & I can really fucking hate it too sometimes, but c'mon the catchy hooks on All by Yourself just makes me a little silly. But, yea
This album is so passionate & alive & animated, It's like filled with life & a pulse & something with emotion. Something that warms your heart up during your ups & your lows, great album
