Quite the contrary, this album is pretty alright, obvious ups & downs to that literal sickening 2 songs on the intro & it get's better overtime. Also quite possibly the more scene shit I've ever listened to
It blows me away that I was days old *again* to find out this came out in 2003, & the remaster was in 2014 & that I've been confusing myself the whole time thinking that this came out over 8 years ago. 19 YEARS later & the artsy of this whole album has aged beautifully. It's like those scenes you see in those 40's Disney movies were you take drugs & it leaves you down this psychedelic journey that you feel comfortable not leaving or not caring what's gonna happen to you, while ... read more
What a sensory deprivation of an album listen, It feels so wonky listening to this. I can't really put into words to describe this album, just utterly hypnotic
I respect the commodity that this album has, even tho it's literally classified as "harsh noise". I still had a fun, ear-bleeding experience. The only problem I have is that sometimes it feels like you aren't progressing anywhere & it feels like you're in a constant loop of chaos. This album feels more of like a durability test than anything, overall pretty cool, not really the best Merzbow has to offer tho
This album isn't half as bad as people make it out to be. I believe it to be groundwork or a follow-up on Tyler's next album Flower Boy. But I can see why this album gets shitted on, it's raw, messy & all over the place. I actually like Cherry Bomb a lot more than Pilot, but this album has some misses, some hit's & I can respect that
This came out in 2002, before clipping, before JPEGMAFIA, & before Death Grips (😲🤯😲😲). This album is nearly old enough to drink now, & yet it hasn't gone anywhere. Still as ferocious, anti-religious & denser as ever. This is album is essentially proto-industiral hip hop
They don't call Edan "Rap's Beautician" for nothing. This album is so amazing. Lyrically, this thing is enriched with quirky, boastful & humor-esque lines that suit perfectly with this immersive, psychedelic production. As he's educating you on the history of hip hop on Fumbling Over Words That Rhyme & spilling boat-loads of ink on Rock & Roll. Somehow, Edan has managed to create one of the best hip hop albums of the decade if not all time. Beautiful
I've spend my days listening to Like Antennas To Heaven... & it's absolutely blissful & sad. I don't know how to put it in words but this album means so much to me, I would cry to this album & had
This mixtape remains unhinged, even after 11 years later. Noisy, chaotic, aggressive, nihilistic & craziest listen I've ever had to listen. This changed me by the time it grew on me, which wasn't that long. Nothing could ever compete this this mixtape or album, fucking incredible
edit: i'm not sure if this is a 100 anymore
Modest at best, the magic of this album & how good it was (back then) has worn off of me sadly, this album isn't really all that great to me anymore. There's a lot of filler half of the album & when it progresses forward & you're getting somewhere, it just decides to stop & end their. By the end I was left with an underwhelming experience. I still love you Pet Peeves please never leave my death bed <3
One of the most ethereal, blissful & most futuristic dystopian experience of my life, this album grew on me a lot overtime & I feel like it's apart of me now. I'm glad I've listened to this album, helped me through some tough places
It's so surreal listening to this, it's revolutionary for what it is & it's an absolute ass-kicker. You cannot tell me Raining Dub goes heavy & hardcore as fuck, that riff solo man, stuff of greatness
