black midi is a band that I've loved ever since hearing their enthrallingly witty and theatrical masterpiece Hellfire, though following the thrilling journey I had with that record, I didn't delve further into their discography for quite a while. Today, I finally decided to check yet another LP from the band, Cavalcade. Immediately from the first track the things that made the band so phenomenal came back to me at once. He's very obviously a talented artist whose able to include lots of witty wordplay without coming across as pretentious or cringy, and his delivery is often effortless and smooth without sounding lazy, but I before this album I knew he had the potential to be even better. I can pretty confidently say that on The Forever Story he's tapped into that potential ... read more
