Feels like an experimental EP. Going for a verry aggresive sound consistantly through these songs but also being more technical.
I was dissapointed by this one. The opening track ”Nothing.” Featuring Garret Russel from Silent Planet is GREAT. The rest of the album feels like a metalcore inspired alt rock album which kind of falls into background.
Most bands do this thing where their 2-3 first albums have a similar sound and deviate from that sound on the next album and that is exactly what happened here. This is a great and consistent experiance with more country influence than their previous albums and its great.
It sounds nice all the way through but it is way too long for being samey generic rock.
This really surprised me. Thought it would be more poppy from the singles but there was some more heavy moments.
As of first listen, i find this much more emotional and more dynamic with the tracklist than the first. Actually loved this.
This is my first time listening to a Sam Fender album, i decided to do this leading up to his new album releasing next week and i have to say ,Not many albums have this great lyric writing throughout. His storytelling paints such a clear picture in my head in a clever way that makes me think but not too much that i don’t understand what he is talking about. He is actually really based too.
The one ”problem” i have with this album is that it has a clear sound it is going for ... read more
I don’t get the negative reviews Johnossi has on this website. I get that they sound a little radio rocky sometimes but it dosen’t make it bad. Here in sweden they’re played on the radio all the time so i was basically raised with them. This album is their best in my opinion, it actually has some real powerful tracks and some beutifull slower moments. Worth a listen.
So i’ve finally listened more properly too the album. Ther are som ANAZING songs here, my favorites are Billy, A question of you, even though and maybe X-ray. The reason i said maybe x-ray is because i loved the core tune, it’s an amazingly catchy song but but it is plagued by a problem that is seen throughout this whole album and its one of the worst cases of it too. The compression.
The amount av compression on these songs is not to be messed with, when theres more than three ... read more
This one is like the first album but a little slower i guess. It has som great choruses but the verses are sometimes a little too sleepy. I like the almost retro feeling in some of the tracks but i also think the amount av reverb on his voice can take me out of it. Dublin in Ecstacy is their best song ever but its accompanied by a less consistatnly great tracklist than the first album.
