Cut the 3 worst tracks and this probably goes up quite a bit. This project shows a lot of potential, but sadly as we all know we wouldn't be able to see that...
EDIT: Back half of the album grew on me. I honestly even like Gurls Wit Da Boom now lol
edit: grew off me, the review is now out of date but like my ass isnt doing that again
edit 2: okay it keeps fucking changing lmfao who the fuck cares
This review is from Feb 10th, so any changes to the album since then will not be taken account for
Brief track reviews:
The album starts strong in my opinion with "Stars" and "Keys To My Life"; "Paid" seems like a absolute jam but Kanye kind of ruins it. "Talking" is a decent tribute but nothing ... read more
Did not like Talking at all before, but this grew on me I guess, with the video. Pretty wholesome song honestly, North's part is... weird, but it kind of works? I like the hook of talking on how the soft sample contrasts with the yelling "YOU DON'T WANT NO PROBLEMS". Ty's verse is really good. The production from James Blake, Kanye himself and No I.D. is great. This might be pretty good mostly for the fact, well, Kanye really isn't here -- just at the very end. For the stuff I've ... read more
Juicy J makes an album full of simple bangers, and it works; this is where he usually works best. Always loved his flow and generally his own production too, so this was just automatically going to work pretty well for me. The features though I feel help a good amount; it's good to hear other people in the mix as well. The songs are exactly the right amount of time they need to be; not too long to be a slog, and not too short to be something of a nothing-burger.

Almost every track here gives you something great. Even "the light is coming", with it's weird production is oddly good for me personally. It's very clear for me that Ariana put a lot of work into this project, and it shows.
Actually fuck yourself. Why is this so fucking good what the hell man why do I keep listening to good 2023 albums in 2024
Pretty nice album. More attention to beats and mixing is needed, but I got quite a fee tracks from this. The back half is worse then the front, if it kept the same pace then this would be like a 84 instead of a 76. Still though, pretty solid.
Favorites: Doomsday, Fly Away, First Night, Say Ya Grace, This Is My Life, Hummingbird, Stop Giving Me Advice
Least Favorites: With The Fish, Special, Hello There
This shit is fire. Charli XCX knows how to balance the more experimental and the more mainstream sound perfectly, and this is just proof of that.
This made NO NOISE LMFAOOOOOOOOO
Edit: This was nowhere bad as what I was expecting, some of the songs here are alright... and they would be a lot better if the MIXING WAS FUCKING GOOD. There is some fucking doo doo here though, wtf is FEEFAFO LMFAOOO
geccing out
Okay, but for real though; some of these songs are incredibly catchy. Wasn't SUPER crazy about Dumbest Girl Alive the first time I heard it; like, I liked it a good amount, but like... it gets stuck in my way too fucking often. Thank you geccies..................................
FAVORITE SONG: Dumbest Girl Alive
A west coast classic. The Game hasn't (pretty sure...) surpassed this level of greatness. It really does say something; the first actual album you throw at the world becomes a classic. The Game may be a bit washed nowadays, but what he does here is pure hip hop greatness. Basically all of these joints sound great, along with The Game's rapping. There's "low points" here, but they aren't even bad songs; just good songs that can't live up to the legendary status of a few others on ... read more
I think AmyFM should do a remix to Pop Champagne
Just kidding. What AmyFM has made here is some pretty good "mindless" headboppers and enjoyable vibe music. I put "mindless" in quotations because it isn't really -- a lot of hard work has been put in here. This is probably some of the best work I've heard from someone I actually known (I think Sean Ignite and maybe Cersia top this imo) but still, a great effort.

This is probably unnecessary and rambly but: Let me start off by that the people who rate this a zero without listening are stupid. The people who disregard country without a second thought are also stupid; I know for a fact there's some users on this site who are purely toxic about there hatred of the genre; I understand country, ESPECIALLY mainstream is not for everyone, and that is 100% okay; if you've heard it with a open mind and don't like it, fair enough. But if you're trying to gaslight ... read more
