Big angry vibes, even for Korn. I truly believe that Jonathan was absolutely livid when they recorded this.
Highlight: JD's tasmanian devil impression.
Low Point: Bagpipes. I fucking hate bagpipes. Burn them all.
Wtf Moment: Listening to JD bawl for like 5 minutes. But I suppose that sums up the mood of the record 🤷🏼♀️
Unexpected: Nursery rhymes. I have a 3 month old so maybe I can use this song to my advantage? On second thought, maybe not.
Funny how I've always just listened to the hits from this album but now it turns out that I enjoy 'Forgiven' and 'Wake Up' way more.
What an incredibly bland record. Listening to it feels like reading a teenage girl's diary. It's all just general relationship stuff that anyone older than 15 years old could have penned. It lacks all personality, maturity and conviction.
On a more positive side, this makes Adele's '30' seem like a freaking masterpiece.
I can't find any reasons as to why I should ever return to this record. Sounds like the background music of an overly priced cocktail bar tbh.
The only interesting tracks are 'As It Was' and 'Music For a Sushi Restaurant'. The first one has been thoroughly overplayed and the latter is not the good kind of interesting.
Kind of wish that Harry would just keep on imitating Bowie. That music was way better.
The album starts really strong but I got just a smidge tired of the Audioslave sound at around the 40 minute mark.
I guess that's because it's little lengthy and they don't really switch up the sound a lot. It all kind of starts to run together towards the end.
Chris Cornell sounds amazing though. I never get tired of his voice.
'Cochise', 'Show Me How to Live' and 'Like A Stone' are still amazing tracks and it's obvious why they ended up being released as singles.
