of Montreal - Cherry Peel

A lot of good ideas for sure

Minor Threat - First Two Seven Inches
95

Why is everybody in such a fucking rush?

Dinosaur Jr. - You're Living All Over Me
95

This absolutely rocks! Dinosaur jr for sure inspired the alternative sector of indie rock with their grimy guitar riffs and almost punky attitude. This album mixes up early slacker rock with with noise and no wave elements that make for a refreshing listen.

Neil Young - Tonight's the Night
87

I very much enjoyed myself while listening to ‚‚tonight’s the night‘‘. The album gets better with time and a song like tired eyes is a major highlight in Neil young’s discography. It’s very grievous in its nature and Neil young dies a good job portraying that grief

Good but not mindblowingly good. I have my highlights like bad penny or the model, but I won’t Relisten every like every day

The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground
90

A very consistent album from a very consistent band. Not on banana level, but the more mellow sounds are a great addition to a very complete tool box. Its similarly as influential as their first one, just in a different way

Television - Adventure
85

Close to marquee moon in quality, but not as catchy

Alex G - Rocket
95

I don’t like reading these super long reviews most of the time, not because my attention span is ruined, but because a lot of the time there are just to many anecdotes or short little stories of how the author discovered this album while having dinner with their girlfriends parents or something like that. Sometimes they pretty cleverly written and keep you hooked throughout, but I rarely find that to be the case. Oh god, I just realized that i turned in to one of them myself. So ... read more

The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour
90

Musically their most experimental and daring release

Title Fight - Floral Green
81

This albums angst does not make it annoying because its existence is unimaginable without it.

The National - Boxer
86

Boxer feels like a good way to introduce a new listener to their work, at least i think that, because its also my full length introduction to the bands work. And i like it enough to listen to more of their music. My favorite songs are probably brainy and racing like a pro

The Beatles - Revolver
95

Rubber soul is where their musical development kinda sped up, but revolver is the perfect bridge between the early pop rock feel good years and the psychedelia and innovation of sgt peppers, the white album and abbey road. Revolver combines both worlds and keeps only the best parts.

The Beatles - Rubber Soul
88

Very moody. I love how soft a lot of the tracks feel upon listening to them. It‘s not quite their best, but one I will always go back to

The Beatles - With The Beatles
95

Incredibly consistent. A major step up from their first

The Beatles - Abbey Road
100

This influenced modern music more than arguably any album ever

Donald Fagen - The Nightfly
87

The sound quality is truly incredible. One great band performance with awesome chemistry and production as well. Give it a listen

Mount Eerie - A Crow Looked at Me
95

This is just beyond sad even. Elverum is a master of his craft, that being making weird music, music that makes you feel uncanny. This doesnt do that. This just makes you not want to wake up ever again
