Holy shit this album. Some of the most glorious retro synths I've heard since the Blood Dragon soundtrack, combined with some of the darkest, moodiest atmosphere I've heard in a long time. Add on top of that the emotions tied to the songs because of the scenes they correlate with in the show, this is one of the best albums I've heard all year. Also, the Prophet VS is a beast.

Thoroughly unimpressed. This is a generic as it gets, I feel like I've heard this song 1000 times already.

Edit: The music video was cool as fuck though

This album is fucking BANANAS holy shit. This album is so weird and off putting at times, yet it fucking matches Brown so well it is just so good to listen too. Hip-Hop AOTY for me so far.

Goddamn, this album got off to such a flyer, the first 7 tracks are fucking fire, each one has interesting beats and Drizzy isn't intolerable like he sometimes can be. The HUGE problem with this album is that there are still 13 tracks to go on the album! I have come to peace with the fact that Abel will never go back to the Trilogy sound, so this is the next best thing. His voice kills it of course, but this beat is absolute flames! It has so much emotion, yet is almost a banger, it's crazy. I immediately had to check who produced this track and lost my mind when I learned it was Daft Punk, pretty much the last guess I would have made. I love the experimental production on top of hip-hop drums, super cool combination. Also, the lead singer fucking kills it on every song, really good album.

Coming here after listening to RTJ and Cancer 4 Cure first was really interesting. Although the production on the previously mentioned projects are more polished, I feel the abrasive, rough beats actually fit El-P's flow and delivery much better.

Very different kind of hip-hop album, awesome beats throughout, really cohesive project as a whole. Also, because of these song titles the best/worst songs section is gonna be a bitch to write.

Edit: Oh boy this album is a massive grower, definitely the best hip-hop album of 2011, and one of my faves this decade.

My first impressions of this album are very good. Got some Malibu vibes from this, which is awesome. I honestly didn't think Mac could pull off a full album of songs like this, but apparently he can. Very solid album overall.

Edit: Upon revisiting this album many more times, it is much, much better than I originally thought. Also, All I Need is quickly becoming one of my favorite songs of all time, the build up to the explosion at the end is so satisfying.

Suuuuuuper chill album, nice to put on in the background while you're doing something else.
