the corny and cringey lines actually give lots of personality to this album and most of these songs I enjoy listening to
never listened to a mac miller album before and not to be disrespectful or anything but this just isn't it for me
I would rather peel off all of my skin, roll on a dirty old rug then put my skin back on and live in discomfort the rest of my life from crumbs and hairs being under my skin rather than listen to this again
Admittedly, pop isn’t my favourite genre of music so feel free to disregard this review but after hearing the absolutely overwhelming amount of praise for this album I thought I would ignore the fact I’m not into pop and finally listen to it.

I’ve tried relistening to this album a lot but I just don’t like it. I don’t know how to describe it but the vocals sound low quality and quiet on some songs and in some parts the instrumentals drown out the vocals

I really like ty’s vocals and there are lots of great songs but the album is very bloated
I normally like Ken but the only songs I liked were Yale and why. The rest sound like an incoherent fever dream that I don’t enjoy listening to. Glad Ken moved away from this sound.

"@mr_ginsberg Yeah I guess it’s subjective and people will get different things out of it. I do think albums with political messages can be great though like To pimp a butterfly by Kendrick Lamar or even something like Ok computer. For me though, that only works if the music itself is also really strong, and that’s kind of where the album falls apart for me. The large majority of the portions of the songs I would consider boring as it is just “ramping up” but never does its like holding a sneeze but never sneezing imo."

"@HuellApproved You said it correctly in your statement that most palestinians do want a ceasefire, most of them are nice guys but Hamas is the bad guys. Israel is trying, albeit haphazardly and destructively, to destroy Hamas. That's basically what is going on.
the conversation we are having is proving that there is indeed two sides to the story. Obviously Israel have done bad things but I don't think an album that merely addresses this conflict should be given such overwhelming praise when the actual music really isn't the best. I don't think that releasing this album would make Netanyahu stop the war and appologise and I think that this sort of activism is worthless virtue signalling. Israel won’t stop until Hamaz is ended Palestinian leaders won’t stop until all of the territory of modern Israel is Palestinian and all Jews in the land are killed so it’s not like Israelis are the only ones with desires of causing mass destruction if the Israeli military wasn’t as strong as it is the attacks would be in reverse. Both people groups are nice however the extremists that rule over Palestine and the leaders of Israel are making it hard for peace."

"@HuellApproved I’d consider myself relatively neutral on it. I like Israel and I like Palestine. I have actually visited both (tel aviv, Jerusalem and ramallah) and they’re very nice places that are unfortunately caught fighting. I just don’t think that an album should be held to such a high regard just because it’s talking about Palestine.
Both Israel and both Palestine have done bad things to each other obviously and this is not a debate rather a fact so I would consider there to be two sides to the story."
