This is the bands magnum opus. A great 80s alternative rock album, and while everything does kind of blend together, and the lead singer keeps the same vocal style on every track, everything is well crafted. It's a great album to lounge to, from personal experience lol.
A dark and eerie song, talking about the suicide of R. Budd Dwyer (PA state treasurer), this song is fucked up. It's a fucked up song with fucked up lyrics but that's what I love about it. You can't make songs like this anymore or the current generation will get their panties in a bunch. Filter's best song in my opinion.
This is the best Boston Manor project. With a darker pop-punk tone, this is the album we needed from them. While some of the lyrics can get repetitive, the lyrical work has improved. There's just a lot of repeated choruses here but they're so catchy you can't really complain. There are a couple filler tracks in here that seem kind of basic and formulaic, but again, they're not bad, just basic. But with that said, the standout tracks like "Halo", ... read more
As Garbage's debut album, it goes for a punch. This album is the queen of 90s alternative rock, with some of their most notable songs like "Stupid Girl" and "Only Happy When It Rains". The deep cuts on this album really make the album worth listening to. The singles are good, but the deep cuts like "My Lover's Box", "Dog New Tricks" and "Milk" make the listen unmatchable.
While musically, it's very similar to their debut just with more upped electronics added, this album fucking rocks. Manson sounds very polished and her vocals are some of the best she's done. The first half of the album kicks ass with banger song after another and while the 2nd half of the album is not as amazing as the 1st half, it's still amazing. "The Trick Is To Keep Breathing" is the best underrated song on here, being a more mellow but dark song lyrically. The ... read more
This album is very nostalgic to me, and ever since it came out I never stopped listening to it. The atmospheric tone of the album is pure bliss paired with the lead singers monotone voice, it's definitely a nighttime record. Every song on here sounds amazing, and the production and tone of the album is so aesthetic and have never heard anything like this album. This is truly a one of a kind album. "Astronauts" backing track is the best on here making you feel like you're ... read more
One of my favorite rap albums of all time. Tech N9ne goes hard on every track, with some of my favorite beats I've heard. Since his label didn't promote Anghellic like he wanted, he left the label and went independent and attacked everyone who did him wrong. "Imma Tell" is a infectious catchy song with a stellar rapping performance by Tech. "The Industry Is Punks" is a big f-you to the industry obviously but it's done so well. When Tech N9nes on point, ... read more
This is my pick for one of the worst albums of 2024. Since 2019, they've been releasing singles for this thing and when it finally came out you basically listened to more than half the album already if you listened to the singles. Ronnie should never be allowed to rap. It's like getting into a car accident, a very painful experience that should've never happened. Also, the fact he somehow got TECH N9NE ON A TRACK IS BEYOND ME! Tech N9ne should've never been on here and if ... read more
This is the best they'll ever do, but still not good. Without the terrible sound effects, cringey electronic sounds, and Ronnie's sad excuse of rapping, this is mediocre. Ronnie realized, "wow I suck at rapping and maybe I should give up while I can" so instead you get a bland metalcore album in a genre that's already oversaturated with crap. But surprisingly "Coming Home" is the best track here and surprisingly got minor enjoyment from it, and once you get ... read more
Who knew they could get worse? I did. If they still used music to torture people at Guantanamo Bay, this album would be first pick hands down.
When scrawny white boy Ronnie Radke tries to be a little tough boy but gets fucked in the ass so hard by trying to be someone he can't be. This is probably the worst album I've ever heard from a mainstream artist. The cringe level is through the roof. You couldn't pay me $1,000,000 to ever listen to this monstrosity ever again. "Bad Girls Club" is the most disgusting monster of a track I've laid my ears on, but nothing compares to one of the worst songs in history, ... read more
Ronnie Radke is a dirtbag, we all know this, and it's very apparent in all of Falling In Reverse's music. This album makes me cringe at all the horrible lyrics in it and while some of the music is good, that's the only thing that gets points here. Ronnie comes off like such a douche here and I've never heard such bad rock music before. It makes me gag.
Least Favs: All of them
"Sideways" and "Down Here Waiting" make the album. Since it's a continuation of their last album, not much has changed. Part 1 though is superior to Part 2. While it's not bad in the slightest, it's one I don't come back too much.
This album is leagues better than any of their other recent albums. The lyricism here is way better then their other pop stuff, not amazing, but I feel more of the emotion here rather than the forced emotional ballads from "I Hope You're Happy" and "Home". "Where Did You Go..." is a catchy as hell song and ends up getting stuck in your head and that's what they know how to do. Make catchy songs. While some of the songs here are still dry pop music, it is ... read more
This album is again another bland pop album. It feels like these string of pop albums keep feeding off each other and blend in with each other that you can intermix these songs and make another album out of it. What made Blue October special back in the 2000s was Justin's lyricism and the way he conveys what he has to say. We don't get much of that here. It's some of his weakest writing.
They tried to make this a big album and made it seem it was gonna be this amazing project, ... read more
The new era of Blue October is a mixed bag. There is enjoyment found on here, I didn't see myself coming back to a lot of these songs ever. The production and mixing is decent here, and the lyrical content is decent too, it sounds more like a Home Deluxe album more than anything. Tracks 9-11 feel like such a drag and wishes the album would end faster. I will admit "I Hope You're Happy" has a great feel to it and it does brings you on a journey through it's soundscapes, ... read more
This album is a bland pop album. This is where they're changing musically but not for the better. It sounds like every generic pop album out there but with more of his preachy lyrics. Blue October fans hold this album so high, and being such a big fan of them, I don't. There's some songs that are catchy and very enjoyable but it seems very formulaic and dull. There's not a lot of substance here.

Knowing the fanbase of the band, a lot of people think this is their best work. After the previous album, they changed lyrically and started preaching positivity instead of their usual sad, depressing lyrics. He preaches a lot of positivity playing this in concert, and while I'm happy he's moving on with his life and getting better, the preachiness of the album comes off a little corny. The album was also dedicated and made for his then 2nd wife which he divorced a decade later. While ... read more
Detailing his divorce and his custody battle over his daughter, he made this album for his daughter Blue so she can know the "truth" of what was going on. It is an uncomfortable and painful listen. I can sympathize with the album watching my parents go through the same thing when I was younger so I have more of an attachment to this album then others. I don't think it was best idea to talk about everything and release it to the public, but if he felt the need to do it, then so be ... read more
Another pivotal moment in their catalogue that basically helped become what they are now. This album was recorded and released at the time Justin and his then 1st wife were on the outs. This album is very slow and has a lot of acoustic ballads and sad lyrics, a staple of theirs. At times, it does seem a little disingenuous but seeing them in concert so many times and hearing his stories around this time in their career and reading his book, it gives a totally different outlook on some of their ... read more
