This is the first Beatles album that feels sonically unique compared to the rest of the catalogue, but it's kind of only carried by the title track and Yesterday (which is a perfect song).

The energy on their rendition of Long Tall Sally alone already surpasses most of what they did on With The Beatles. (also funny cowbell)
The charm of early Beatles is still here, but the quality of the songwriting isn't on the same level as Please Please Me (at least, for the original compositions).
Yes the album is hit or miss, but this album has a charm that some other early Beatles albums don't.
Despite the fact that I have a lot of nostalgia for this record and coldplay in general, I recognize this as the beginning of the downfall of coldplay.
