This album didn't speak to me as much as it sounds like it should. Not being a fan of country is a big part of it, but there are other problems. Cowboy Carter has a lot of padding in it. This is a 27 track album and half of it are small interludes and snippets that don't contribute much to the overall album. And the full songs themselves are a bit too short. Beyonce didn't allow many songs here time to develop and mature. Its there then it's over.
Caught off guard with just how good this is??? I've never had the impression Future or Metro were in their artistic prime nowadays, but ig they got more in them then I thought. Also every time Kendrick drops a new feature it becomes more evident just how much on another level artistically he is from other rappers.
Planet of the bass was funny at first, and a surprisingly alright revival song, but any song he made after that is obnoxious and unfunny. His bad singing worked on POTB because it was accurate to how DJs sounded on old songs like that. In any other situation it's ear grating and endlessly annoying.
Fameous February #29
Finally finished this list, two weeks too late. I'm gonna scale down the special month lists, because an album a day is really hard to keep up with.
Fameous February #27
Production hard carried this album for me. The rapping itself is pretty good, but not mind blowing.
Fameous February #26
I got lost in this album for a while. It's sound is so enchanting.
I wouldn't consider myself a member of "The Clique" but I'm ngl this album and self titled are making me think I am. I am addicted to both these projects.
Fameous February #25
Really demotivated from finishing this up, but I got to soon, so here we go.
Such a unique approach to jazz. Lots of surprises on here.
A whole lot of missed potential. Glad future projects reworked most of this trainwreck
Famous February #24

WHAT THE FUCK TWENTY ONE PILOTS??
Trench is an album I can't help but relisten to because of it's addictive sound and amazing aesthetic. Imagine my surprise when they announced a sequel to trench, Clancy. And this single from the album definitely lives up to their 2018 sound. Some of their strongest work.
