After going through their entire discog, this album leaves more questions than answers
The great noise rock they brought us on albums like Goo, Dirty over time evolved into something slower, more passive. Washing machine was so great, because it brought the best of both worlds; the songs were occasionally long but they never* meandered (*diamond sea past 12 minutes).
