Thanks @Tarul for the rec! This album instantly gave me the vibe of one of my childhood games, The Flame in the Flood. From the cover art alone, I felt that atmosphere, and once I started listening, the connection became even stronger. I’m not sure if that was intentional on the artist’s part, but it definitely stood out to me. I really enjoy the overall mood of this project, it’s perfect for a calm autumn evening. The blend of genres also works surprisingly well: it kicks off ... read more
idgaf if the album was bad on purpose, it would be horrible if it dropped today but for the poppy as a character and her debut album before becoming a popstar and a rockstar was perfect, we have come such a long way from "moshi moshi hi hello" to "crystalline castles turned to dust in the palm of your hand" and i think it's beautiful
it's great i just wish there was a bit more poppy and courtney! it's mostly amy
are you fucking kidding me i'm so mad at gaga rn 😭
she had some of the best songs EVER MADE (can't stop the high, abracadabra, disease, perfect celebrity, shadow of a man) and decided to mix it with other 12 boring mid songs...
the wasted potential of mayhem needs to be studied idk...
being a poppyseed in 2021 was a peak cuz wdym we got a grammy performance, wwe performance, this masterpiece, fear of dying cover and then a brand new album 3 months later
all of the track are 10s besides say cheese, it's a really good song but it sounds like an early demo of they're all around us
this is so random but... somehow this is one of my fav songs ever? should i be ashamed? probably, but idc
lyrics aren't the best but the sound of it is so magical that i cannot complain, love it since the release day and it's a perfect song for a late night walk with an ethereal vibe
still remember the day i discovered her in 2021 a few weeks after this ep released, it changed my life honestly
and it still blows my mind that this is the same chick who sang pretty girl
love maggie forever, so grateful for this ep, she has come a long way
favs: all of them except love songs
least fav: love songs
Eartheater’s Trinity is probably my favorite mixtape ever. I first heard it around 4 years ago and something about it kept pulling me back. At first, the only track that really stuck with me was ‘Runoff’ which is still one of my all-time favorites. For a while I couldn’t fully get into the whole project, but every few months I’d return to it. Eventually, this year, it finally clicked. I don’t know why it took me so long, because deep down I knew I’d end ... read more
maybe it's a bit better than sns... but it's still sns 2.0
emails i can't send was her peak, she had some potential before making boring coutry-pop, hating men and oversexualizing herself became her brand
i don't mind it being like a background for cleaning or some shit but her new stuff feels empty
thanks for the nightmares i'm gonna have for the rest of the year!
jokes aside, it was actually terrifying, i don't really listen to stuff like that since it makes me really uncomfortable (which is probably the point of harsh noise) but i can appreciate the effort u put into this
don't know what else to say besides from the fact that it was really scary and well made, great job!
(i kinda wish there was a moment to breathe from all the loud tracks) @Alius9
as an og poppy stan: i relistened to the album today and realized this shit was the reason i'm bipolar and homosexual today
it's such a weird nostalgic feeling listening to this today and feeling like 2018 again, especially seeing how much she improved from that
favs: time is up, iconic, the rapture ball, x
least fav: -
(my feelings about this album didn't change a bit after all the years)
wasn't sure about that on my first listen since i'm the biggest Scarlet stan but damn I love when an artist is versatile, if she continues the 80s vibe for the whole album then I'm really sat, also - the high note??? girl wow
New album from pluto! i kinda wish he did an actual album instead of repackage after dropping 16 singles and leaving 1 brand new song for an album release, it kinda ruins the suprise. this one is better then 2024's "Ghost Gardens" but still lacks some good songwriting, vocals (or screams) & production last seen in "Pixelated Oblivion", I remember he said that he's switching it up for the next album and improving everything so I'm sat for the next one. ... read more
i wrote the most in-depth and longest review of this album in my life, over 600 words, but when I was writing the last sentence the power went out and I gave up, my mental state just collapsed
is it just me or she samples either jealous by eyedress or deceptacon by le tigre????
other than that, it's a cool fun song, I usually love stuff like that, I don't have much to say but it's a really nice listen and I'm excited for the album!!!
I liked the other song better but this is still fun! you’re really good at producing, I don’t have much to say about this one except It’s a bit too long I think which is unnecessary for this track
overall cool fun track, keep going!
