Document #7 has a really big punch to it. Each song so anthemic. So much purpose. There is a chord that ties back to the hardcore in this Post-Hardcore release. Feeling like Blood Brothers Burn Piano Island era. Feeling a bit like early Thursday. We hear a more constructed form of the bands sound. One that would be moving away from the more chaotic "Orchid" type screamo and into more sophisticated realms. Painting stories between the onslaughts of speed.
genuinely what the FUCK!!! this LP is so fucking good. because i listen to a lot of “short form skramz”, my favorite tracks are 2 and 4, due to their intense walls of emoviolence. the frontman is going insane, shredding his vocals on these tracks. the other tracks aren’t my complete favorite (yet!) but that doesn’t mean they’re less than amazing, like “The Mangled Hand” features that same screamo from before, but performed over weird sludge-y punk. ... read more

A lot different than their other projects by the way of a lot more breathing room in their sound. The trade off of the crustier atmosphere for the now airy and expressive soundscape does not exactly do it for me, but I still find a decent amount of stuff to love about the record.
