Such a masterful display of black metal power right off the bat for the band. Sinister vocals that feel like we are being thrown into the surface of the sun as our skin melts off. Solid playing, solid production for 94, and quite an entrance.

I've been putting off listening to this for so long after hearing some gorgoroth 2 years ago when anything heavier than Megadeth was unlistenable to me, I finally got to it and I couldn't be happier. Pinnacle of classic second wave black metal, galloping riffs, crazy shrieks, 29 minute punch that absolutely delivers all you would want from the genre.

parrot screeches mixed in with some actual pretty good riffs with a haunting vibe of a cemetery.

funny vocals, very irritating at times but not too much. Very raw sound, compositions maybe a bit repetitive. Best songs: Ritual,Katharinas bortgang,The pagan Megalith
