Gentle Giant Deep Dive #8
The quality begins to recede on Gentle Giant's eighth album, as the tracks are weirder yet also less memorable than on their previous releases, and overall Interview lacks the magic of the band's best moments, although it's very good at times.

While this album is a little bit messy, it's one of their catchiest and grooviest outings, and I'm sure it would come out even better without trying to give it some serious concept and storytelling.
As I near the end of my gentle giant journey the quality abruptly starts to dip with “interview”… or so people say. I however think this is just as good as previous albums such as “acquiring the taste” and “free hand”. It seems less busy than the other projects but it still feels like gentle giant, as opposed to them simply not caring any more.
