The Guardian
Despite losing a key member, the arena-filling pop-metal stars still thrill with their surprise-released new record – a masterpiece of glutted sonic mayhem.

Even with the years of delay and the departure of longtime member Jordan Fish after recording, this is one of the most rewarding and indulgent releases in Bring Me the Horizon's post-Sempiternal era, a big payoff for fans willing to delve into the lore and a pure thrill for anyone who likes to feel heavy music both in spirit and body.

NME

Following multiple delays and the departure of Jordan Fish, the surprise release of this much-teased album delivers in breathtaking fashion.

This experimentation doesn’t always work, but it’s successful often enough to make ‘NeX GEn’ an album worthy of deep and repeated listens.

Dork
A thoroughly modern emo record, Bring Me snarl, gnash and rage through 16 tracks.

Having created a monster, BMTH have proven themselves equal to matching the creative demands it’s placed on them. What a re-GeN-eration.

Distorted Sound

With it being their first full-length release since 2019’s Amo, Post Human: Nex Gen was absolutely worth the wait. It’s a perfect continuation from what Survival Horror gave us and is double the length.

Rolling Stone UK
This album – an unexpected fusion of a dark-night-of-the-soul and all out arena rock – is a welcome triumph. It might be a year later than expected, but it is, all considered, well worth the wait.

Metal Hammer

Chaotic, confusing and nonsensical, Post Human: Nex Gen is a record that feels like it shouldn’t work – but, surprisingly, that’s also why it does.

It’s a true testament to Bring Me The Horizon’s songwriting: packaging Festival-core blandness as Pandering Pieces of Content. I guess it doesn’t help that the Fish left. But who cares? People will listen to this music and future music they put out also. As long as they can write a chorus, they are fine.

More like Bring Me The Eyeliner cause this shit is Emo AF

Bring Me The Horizon is finally back with their follow up to Post Human: Survival Horror, which was an incredible project. However, judging by the singles, I was worried going into this. Some of the singles were great, but some of them weren't really hitting for me.

And while this album ends up being quite a mess, I think it manages to deliver a good enough experience. Worth a 4 year wait? No, and definitely not better than Survival ... read more

The metal community has been breathing down BMTH's neck for nearly four years now wanting to know how they're going to follow up survival horror as they've teased another three post human projects. I was someone who was really curious to hear this project as I believe “Post Human: Survival Horror” to be one of the best alternative metal projects of the decade and found Bring Me’s ability of combining melodic choruses and heavy guitar riffs and drum beats ... read more

Intro

For someone who hasn’t dived much into this genre I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had it’s a great album that I can see having a lot of replay value for me.
