This isn't how I found out about Beartooth, but this is how I wish I did. It just gets all the aggression out there with pretty much no holds barred. Even if the 4 songs on here are formulaic, it still slaps. I still think the coolest fact about this EP is that Caleb Shomo pretty much made the whole thing single-handedly, which makes it even more special, tbh. It's short enough to be enjoyable and tee up even greater efforts from the band. I honestly can't get enough of this shit!
Intense and deliciously heavy. Shomo teases his newest project in this EP and the songs are some of the most painstakingly heartwrenching songs in post hardcore. While the sound of the band didn't exactly live up to these promises, this EP is still recommended despite the more polished sound of their core work.
