Embrya is one of those "what if?" records. When it's at its best, it sounds exotic and entrancing—the incredible grooves and basslines on some of the best tracks suck you in, dragging you underwater. people really cannot just judge the song without involving twilight, this website smh
I really thought he was gonna build on the sound in his last album, but he switched back to his early 2020s dance singles style in which he sounds completely unremarkable, very sad how Khalid went from alt pop alt rnb sensation to a malleable amorphous pop artist
