Unfortunately got aware of this scham artist from her blatant reinterpretations of various iconic songs but done in such a souless unfaithful way that feels more like a scam artist than paying homage especially with the insane play count on Spotfiy versus the original.
It takes only 10 seconds to realize how shallow her vocal range is.
Echoes being this comprehensive and incredibly well-aged is a damn testament. Although gotta admit the rest of the album just kinda exists.
How dare you hide this as a side project. Really solid stuff that absolutely deserves to be alongside his mainline albums.
Some incredible songs, some rudimentary by today's standards. But there's no denying how forward thinking and influential this album has been to electronic music as a whole.
Boy what the hell are these track ratings?
Best Tracks: Zap Zap, A Dream, Going Nowhere
Hot take but 'Jenny Was a Friend of Mine' is the star of the show for me over 'Mr. Brightside'. But both awesome songs nevertheless.
Even in their early stages of recordings absolutely amazing. Wished there were vocals for 'Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt' that would've competed with the finished version.
Crazy to have learned about this album from a snippet of Music is Math in a SMG4 YTP.
Drop off at the second half, but amazing first half nevertheless.
Nvm still got bangers spread out. The highs really do shine.
Wished the album was like the first 4 songs in its entirety.
Edit: Nvm "Blame It On the Tetons" and "The Good Times Are Killing Me" are amazing too. But yeah still too much yee-haw in between.
This is just Sonic Youth.
Also I will stand on people not bashing the ugliest MF album cover, my fist is lined up with that baby ON SIGHT!
Best Tracks: But I'm a greep... , Blow Out
Worst Track: How Do You? (aka the mixing engineer fell asleep)
