高中正義 [Masayoshi Takanaka] - SEYCHELLES
90

40 minutes of jazz fusion goodness.

藤井風 [Fujii Kaze] - Prema
80

This is Fujii Kaze's first album that's mostly in English, which I commend him for doing since English is his second language. I think this was his weakest album so far. It's still a great album, but I could hear him running dry of ideas on a few of these songs. Still, the highs on this one ARE high.

JID - God Does Like Ugly
80

A few duds but overall a consistently good project by JID.

Laufey - A Matter of Time
90

A very consistent album from Laufey, her previous ones were also consistently good but this one had a few more good tracks imo.

Fishmans - LONG SEASON
95

Simply fantastic.

Vaundy - strobo
80

Strong set of songs, but not many stood out unfortunately. The best is definitely 怪獣の花唄 followed by 東京フラッシュ imo.

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
80

Tyler sounds like he's having fun here and it really shows. Not a perfect album but it doesn't need to be, just vibes and good music.

Childish Gambino - "Awaken, My Love!"
85

First half is nearly perfect, second half has a drop in quality but it isn't bad at all. Overall, "Awaken, My Love!" surpassed my expectations. A lot of great songs in here, the production is amazing, same with the vocals too.

System of a Down - System of a Down
90

Armenia's finest men a.k.a System of a Down's debut album. This was intense, loud, but with a ton of substance, I really adore it.

Radiohead - OK Computer
100

Goddammit I was holding off with Radiohead until now. Anyways, no skips.

Michael Jackson - Off the Wall
90

Heavily underrated.

JACKBOYS - JACKBOYS 2
40

After the first two songs, this album was pretty boring and felt pretty mind numbing by the end. It's not horrible, but holy damn was it so mediocre. I'm disappointed Travis, you made great trap albums of Rodeo and Astroworld and this is the best you could put out?

JACKBOYS & Travis Scott - JACKBOYS
65

Not bad, not good. GATTI and OUT WEST are great songs though.

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
95

Welcome to another Classic Rock Sunday, today's album is Black Sabbath's self titled album released in 1970. I went in listening to the album with tampered expectations, but I did not expect this album to be this good. The menacing atmosphere and aura that each of these tracks created, it's such an amazing vibe. I thoroughly enjoyed this album from start to end. The weakest song here is definitely Evil Woman, but it doesn't detract too much from my enjoyment of this album.

Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
95

THIS IS CULTURALLY INAPPROPRIATE

90 -> 95

The Weeknd - Echoes Of Silence
85

This felt way longer than its runtime, but this time it's not a bad thing. Echoes of Silence nearly reaches the highs of House of Balloons, but I think HOB is more tightly knit and have slightly better production overall.

Ranking of the trilogy of mixtapes:

House of Balloons - All around great project with not many complaints

Echoes of Silence - A great project but could've been shortened a little bit

Thursday - Good, but some tracks fall flat and some production choices are ... read more

The Weeknd - Thursday
75

Not as good as House of Balloons but it's still a good mixtape overall

Various Artists - Black Panther: The Album
60

A lot of misses unfortunately but has some great songs. I came out of this album rather disappointed, it had a ton of unexplored potential.

"Don't worry, I agree. This is NOT a 10, nor a 9. It's too flawed to be considered perfect. Blame Game is fucking ass, Monster's overrated except for Nicki's verse and the instrumental, So Appalled had so much potential, but only Pusha T delivers a solid verse., and Hell of a Life has been growing off of me every listen. Other than that, I still think this is a great album. It's just not perfect."
