After his chaotic and psychedelic Atrocity Exhibition, Danny returns with a clean album, with some classic formulas of the genre and great rapping. The flows he achieves with his beats are as interesting as ever, but in a different way than his previous albums.
Wide variety, great production, fun lyrics and moments... One of his most entertaining and complete albums.
Danny Brown releases his most abstract, psychedelic and wild album of his career, along with his best, most original and well-produced bars and beats. Unique instrumentals create a dark atmosphere to give way to Danny with his characteristic voice and his collabs: simply a majestic sound, a compact and varied project.
Definitely, The Unseen is one of the smoothiest beat-making masterpieces by Quasimoto. Old sounds or those typical of series of old cartoons, really interesting effects and very slappy beats along with lyrics adjusted to them.
Yeah, this is a truly complete project, very well produced and pleasant to the ears.
As I said before, a perfect example of the art of beat-making; a perfect example of Madlib's skills.
In my opinion, most of the beats on this album lose quality compared to their previous album and what I find most interesting are the lyrics. Likewise, it still seems like a very flat album, for me not very entertaining and with beats that are not so innovative (most of them) or interesting.
Another frenetic and dark album from the band Korn, with the same energy and personal brands as their previous album but with less variety between the songs and dynamism. Many guitar elements or others such as the crunchy sound of the bass make this project interesting, but after a while some tracks can become heavy or absurd.
Some songs are good, others are very hard and, many others, are filler or uninteresting.
A very clean and pleasant album of rnb and jazz from the early 80s, with more pop intentions and structures but harmonies and sounds typical of the greatest funk and disco of the time. Sometimes it reminds us of some sounds and vibes of jazz-fusion that was very fashionable in Japan, but, of course, taken to its own style and creating this representative and influential work. Simply too great.
One of my funk and jazz-fusion albums from the Japanese jazz movement and, directly, from all history. Each riff and groove is unique, from the most frenetic and complex to the most settled or ballad-like, and they are perfectly cohesive and ordered in the tracklist. Each of the fills and solos are custom made, as is the instrumentation.
If we take into account the level of interpretation and composition, they are brilliant, if not perfect, and they also have the touch that gives them the ... read more
A Japanese jazz musician visiting and absorbing Brazilian culture, what could arise? This great album of rhythms and colors so bright, moving and fun. Masayoshi takes advantage of the knowledge of this new culture to create a fusion between the Japanese jazz/funk of the time and the music of Brazil in an extraordinary way. An album with a production that does not reach what it needed, but a selection of very interesting tracks and compositions.
A dreamy and colorful record with great melodies, harmonies and sounds. The guitars, keys and all the instrumentation on this thing is so well complemented that they create very well-treated layers and create a very beautiful and fun album at the same time.
Richard D. James' debut album is a futuristic, innovative and groundbreaking masterpiece that change the course of electronic music forever, from bringing to light great tracks with dreamy, dark or dystopian atmospheres from his last 7 years of producing. This album marks a before and after, a new purpose and an opening of many minds towards new sounds and artistic currents.
That doesn't mean that it is, in my opinion, a somewhat disastrous album in terms of the disparate and unbalanced ... read more
Eminem's third great album since his inception is another fresh project, with some light and powerful beats and lyrics, as always, very well formulated and varied. At the end of the day, it is the same as his previous album (Shady demonstrating his skills along with legendary beats, thus forming another complete and closed album), but not as relevant as its predecessor. It is still a very good album.
-Björk's discography #7:
A gorgeous, complainant and alive album. Natural phenomena and life are reflected in the fine instruments of this album for its most beautiful and endearing parts, but electronic and distorted for its darkest and most tragic parts. Björk continues to create beautiful lyrics and melodies typical of medieval modal singing but fusing them with traditional instruments and sounds and tremendous electronic elements, thus forming a very stable, original and natural ... read more
With 5 tracks, Pink Floyd manages to create works of art with perfect structure and vibes and with unique and beautiful colors and soundscapes to support its message. They manage to convey relaxation and chaos in equal measure, with heartbreaking lyrics and melodies and stellar guitar solos, supporting synths that give more layers of joy and the rest of the base It does just enough to make it sound balanced.
A beautiful, compact and legendary project forever.
The album with the most variety of different faces of Eminem (the funniest, the hardest or the most carefree Em), more variety of beats (all good) and more consistency in terms of order and skits in the tracklist, following the same aesthetic but going through different personal themes. Marshall shows his most unique side and manages to make a high-quality hiphop album thanks to the company he has in him and the talent he has for storytelling, rhythm and rhymes.
One of the best projects that ... read more
Korn's first album opens their career with a hard and dark way, at the same time with a lot of energy, a very raw but personal sound and original elements that make it sound quite unique within the nu scene. The bases of some tracks are very interesting and those of others are powerful, the lyrics and voice fit perfectly with each song and create a groundbreaking atmosphere. Very good debut, Korn was already in the room.
Led Zeppelin were born from blues and rock influences and a sense of curiosity for new sounds, a lot of musicality and the desire to blow everything up into the air. From their entrance, with this album so complete and stable, these 4 virtuoso and very good musicians seemed like the new kings who were going to mark a new era and the history of rock.
Eminem, along with Dre, appears with this funny, fun, dark and unique project. Shady appeared without filters on the hip-hop scene, demonstrating that black music could also be made by white people if they were as good as him. Very fresh lyrics, very well written and with a personal style accompanied by Dre's great beats, this stage simply started off hard from the first track.
Here the most carefree, original and greatest Em is born.
Quality jams on futuristic tracks, very filled and cared for, interpretations of all kinds and, above all, many guitars and keyboards. There are not so many legendary songs but it should be noted that the 80s sound was already appearing in this fun and diverse project.
After Igor it was difficult to overcome, but Tyler decides to stay in line and hit a shot at the same level but very different.Going through different styles (harder hip-hop, more classic, reggae...), different colors (darker songs and others more "cheesy"), very varied lyrics but good as always... The production, rapping, singing, sampling and approach of all the songs and album as a whole is spectacular, it feels like a movie!
The second album of the last pair of albums by this great metal group is dark, sad and harsh from the first moment. The structure of the album is not as stable as on Mezmerize, but the songs individually are masterpieces of composition, apart from the fact that they are very well performed and with a lot of heart. The lyrics and sound (both in production and composition) are very similar to their previous album, which makes it just as enjoyable.
This album clearly comes from the soul of the ... read more
