The Band - The Band
65

Mid after the fist 3 songs.

Frank Sinatra - Songs for Swingin' Lovers!
75

An actually good compilation of Frank Sinatra tracks.

Herbie Hancock - Inventions & Dimensions
75

Worth listening to, but not all of its experiments are as rewarding.

Drake - Take Care
60

Now gen Z will put Take Care in a top 100 of all time but no God damn way.

Drake - Certified Lover Boy
45

Actually starts very strong in the first 2 tracks but then... well...

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing.....
70

Long-winded...? Some of the nocturnal songs make me sleepy and the album wanders in between skits and some other collections of low-key samples.

Ornette Coleman - The Shape of Jazz to Come
40

'Is something interesting going to happen soon?' (me listening to The Shape of Jazz to Come)

Fela Kuti & Africa 70 - No Agreement
60

Nice grooves on both sides, but none of the vocals do something to take the compositions to new places.

Herbie Hancock - Takin' Off
75

Watermelon Man and others.

Weather Report - Black Market
90

This Weather Report album genuinely stand out from the rest of jazz and fusion albums I've heard. It's well-structured, differently textured and to the point.

Herbie Hancock - Man-Child
80

The Head Hunters completing their jazz-funk trilogy with a swing.

David Bowie - "Heroes"
65

Why is he doing that pose?

Tyler, The Creator - Bastard
55

That kid you hated in high school made a decent mixtape.

of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?
75

Good, if a little self-indulgent, art pop.

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
100

If I have a hot take about TPAB is that I really love the jazzy tracks more than the hard hitting ones. My fav tracks are For Free?, Institutionalized, For Sale?, Momma and You Ain't Gotta Lie. My least favorites are Hood Politics, Complexion, Blacker the Berry and Mortal Man (the musical part; outro was awesome). But it's just nitpicking, the album is a modern masterpiece.

¥$ - VULTURES 2
35

I want to hear Vultures 3 tho

Miles Davis - Agharta
90

Live album that makes you go 'if I could have been there, Jesus Christ...'

Viktor Vaughn - Vaudeville Villain
85

As is tradition: DOOM drops an hour of good music with a pseudonym.
