Okay so I do think this album is good but slightly overrated. It's a really fun project but with very little depth and intricacy in its lyricism. I do feel like people were more exited about Addison Rae TikTok star to be a pop star than she was herself, and that is one of the many reasons why I think people think her music's better than it actually is. I want to note that I do enjoy this project, but it is not anything amazing.

This is also one of those mixtapes that means a lot to me. I have been a fan of chance since the tail end of 2018, so primarily when he was releasing the singles before "The Big Day" (no comment on that yet). I don't love every song on this LP, and there are even one or two that I would say I dislike. That being said, the others are definitely good enough to bring the score up a bit. The layers of raw instruments in this album's production add a gut punch that makes this ... read more
"IGOR" is an extremely well-thought-out project. I would go as far as to say that it is a modern masterpiece. Having witnessed the rollout of this LP, seeing the resurgence the online community has given this album feels like it is finally being given its flowers. I remember vividly watching the "IGOR'S THEME" teaser music video while sitting in my 6th grade classroom. Tyler solidifies his production and mixing skills on "IGOR" as well. He's just so good ... read more
This album means so much to me. This was the first project of Tyler's that I listened to in its entirety and it caused me to become infatuated with his world-building and artistry. This is definitely my personal favorite LP from his discography, although I would agree that he made an arguably better project directly following this one. That being said, "Flower Boy" is undeniably timeless and has so much to offer. This album also introduced me to some amazing artists, so brownie ... read more
This album will take you to another world. The ambience, themes, and the transitions from song to song are what will keep you there for its 53 minute runtime. The lyrics on this LP are the only thing that are keeping it from being utterly spectacular, although the undeniable creativity and dedication that brakence exhibits warrants the score I gave this project. This is an album that feels like it forced its way outside of the man that wrote it, and it's both goopy and painful.

This album literally came out of nowhere for me. Before listening to "Forever", I had never heard of Bassvictim. To be honest, I forget if either a friend recommended this LP to me or if it was on my Spotify home page. This project is incredibly stylish, unapologetic, and untamed. It also has its way of making me emotional. I have cried listening to some of these songs just because of how genuinely good they are. This album is the fun aunt. The way Maria's voice fits so perfectly ... read more
Okay, so I HAVE to start off by saying that this album is most definitely overrated. I see how and why it resonates with so many people, because objectively "BRAT" is very catchy and fun/easy to listen to. Charli's honesty in her lyrics are what creates the sense of rawness that exists all throughout this LP. She completely exposes herself and her personal thoughts about topics that are not talked discussed in the popular music industry, therefore breaking boundaries and setting ... read more
I really don’t have much to say about this album. Nothing really interests me on this project. There are definitely some cute diddies that I do indeed like on this one tho. That being said, this project doesn’t measure up to her others + feels like it was rushed and really could have been better + more grand if more time was devoted to it.
I don’t know. I do see a lot of one of Charli’s previous projects, “True Romance” in this one. That’s just my ... read more
I feel like this album needs some more time for it to set in for me. That being said, I really think this LP is a great follow-up to "Janky Star". As a fan of that album of Grace's specifically, I was most certainly not disappointed with this release. Through "Girlfriend" much of Ives' inspirations and identity (within the city) shines brightly through a DIY stained-glass project made on a rainy day. While I admire "Janky Star" a bit more for the ... read more
"GUTS" is exactly what I hoped Olivia wouldn't do with her follow-up to her debut. There are definitely some songs on this LP that I vibe with and could play with whoever whenever. That being said, this album barely expands on any of the ideas that she initially brought to the music scene, and Olivia's uniqueness in the mainstream (specifically with her production) was in my opinion the stuff that is what kept her on my radar enough for me to stick around to listen to this ... read more
This is truly a breathtaking album. It feels like a time capsule that you're digging back up after a while. The story throughout the album is an incredible element. I love the narrator's accent so much. Some of the shit on this LP is literally so fucking good that I cried because of just how good it was. This is a very inventive approach to RNB/Pop/Hip Hop- there's few albums as intentional as this one that are also fresh and hot off of the press. The bass: amazing. The mixing ... read more
This album is extremely nostalgic to me and it reminds me of intermediate school; like I'm talking 5th and 6th grade. I love the first half of this LP. I feel like those are some of Khalid's best songs that don't sound as engineered as the music in his later career. I don't think this album is anything crazy or inventive, but in my opinion, it has aged fairly well. It's fun and lighthearted :)

I really cannot believe she took a five year hiatus before "EUSEXUA". I am seeing the NME critic review on my screen currently and I lowkey forgot that is actually true. I definitely like the sister album to "EUSEXUA" more. "EUSEXUA Afterglow" I rated an 88, so I think it's kind of perfect that I'm rating this a 77. I genuinely thing this album is absolutely great, but it lacks the gripping emotional appeal that I usually like from twigs. I love the nude ... read more
This album feels like the most Rex Orange County album out of all of his albums. This era was, In my humble opinion, his best overall aesthetic and most cohesive project in his discography. I saw him on tour for this album in 2022 and it was so cute, although it was the only show that I have ever been to that lacked an opener. This album is incredibly perfect for the spring and summer months. Lyrically, Rex doesn't ever say too much and keeps it sweet and simple. My favorite part of the ... read more
"Born To Die" is so revolutionary for women in pop music. Lana took this new, orchestral sound and gave it worldwide appeal. This album very accurately depicts American drama and there's no wonder why this album is so universally loved and celebrated. I spun this on vinyl last night and the A side is literally banger after banger after banger after banger. Lana has been one of the only artists that have stayed relatively true to her sound over time and she has kept a lot of the ... read more
I think this album is just one of those projects where I'm just like, how the actual hell can someone put 20 songs on an album and them all be this consistently good. I think JPEGMAFIA is a master in music production and audio sampling and just creating music in general. There's no rapper in the game that does quite exactly what he does. Nobody has that touch like he does either. Some of my favorite songs of JPEGMAFIA's entire discography is on this project, and I am always ... read more
This album was recommended to me by a friend I have with immaculate taste and I had high expectations that were most definitely met. This project is so incredibly fun and such a good time through and through. The samples are cute and everything you hear in these eleven tracks are very alive and make you wanna get up on that runway and strut that shit. I will for sure be following up with this group in the future. This is the first bit of work I am hearing from them, but I know that they're ... read more
"What Happened To The Heart?" Is inventive. After two years of this project being out, it definitely stands to be some of the best work that I personally believe that AURORA has made. I would consider the lyrics to be the weakest part of this album but they are not as bad as they could be. I feel like this set of songs feels like something that exists in a really old book- specifically one that smells good when you open it. I doubt that you will regret listening to this if you're ... read more
Trying Times is truly a great project through and through. There is a consistent emotional and lyrical sound that is unique to this album. The vocal effects that James Blake uses along with his synths and bass are all just absolutely amazing, he is most definitely proven to be an amazing producer. Art Pop is so in, and 2026 has been continuing that trend so far. I am excited to see what Blake creates after this- I think he could be on the brink of something that I might really be into. I'm ... read more
I WISH that this album surprised me. It didn't. Expect (most of) the same shit from Harry on this one. The quotable lyrics that lack in their ability to convey a story, the predictable and elementary chord progressions, and middle-of-the-road vocal talent. That being said, I do enjoy a fair amount of the songs on this album. The bass is the most consistent variable throughout this entire project, and "American Girls" is a perfect example of where it carries the song entirely. ... read more
