revisiting this record is always so much fun, insane vocal approach on damn near every song. was a genius move naming this record Debut; on an artistic level, this album represents Bjork moving forward, all while remaining a captivating listen throughout through unique production choices and a constant influx of ideas. love this album
its honestly inoffensive for the most part but the personality is lackluster here. would just rather listen to anyone else.
some of this album is really tough to get through. and not in the music sense either, all of it is kinda ass in that department.
nah nah, im talking about listening to eminem drugged out of his mind trying to maintaining a consistent flow through some of the worst beat choices in a catalogues KNOWN for his piss-poor instrumentals. it is extremely noticeable on specific verses and makes for a genuinely uncomfortable listening experience.
ass like that is also just, so bad.
just kinda bland by today's standards a lot of the time, especially when it comes to the "raunchiness"
bloated and repetitive as hell sonically, but has enough quality songs to make it a worthwhile listen.
theres no way this fucking shit is real bro WHAT
some of the worst compressed guitar and drums ive heard in a minute dude, who okay'd this?! and my god, vanilla ice is corny as hell talking about his "temper" and man why did i take the time to make a curiosity listen for this. every song is so. fucking. LONG.
one wonders however; did he continue down the route of nu metal?
im a big fan of music that sounds like someone's chaotic spotify playlist being expressed in entire new ways and this right here scratches that itch. some of the features are kinda pointless or honestly dont fit (AHEM billy woods [i love billy but his feature kinda kills the pace]) and the spoken word bits are honestly really surface level and serve very little purpose aside from providing connective tissue between some of the songs BUT this shit sound incredible. the amount of time and ... read more
i've had a weird infatuation with this soundtrack ever since i first discovered it back in middle school. though imperfect, it really carries a unique style throughout that paints a really colorful picture of what they had in mind.
heavenly peach banquet goes hard
i fail to understand the pushback against this release? EP2 is a collection of futuristic and grandiose cloud-rap r&b songs, all of which utilizing a combination of brass sections and electronic synths to create an ethereal atmosphere; making for one of peggy's more unique releases amongst his work. big fan of this release.
once again representing the worst of what the music industry has to offer: megan trainor!
underwhelming "concept" record where the only songs worth remembering were released well in advance to the record and the rest showcasing the drastic lack in creativity between this album and their former Song Machine release. the features are underutilized/pointless and albarn doesn't even try to embody the character of 2D anymore, why even bother?
