Fantastic. The mixing isn't perfect, as it's (to my knowledge) produced entirely by Rob. Regardless, the sounds displayed here are so beautiful and perfect to listen to when getting work done.
No. What are they doing. What have they become dude. What happened to the religious lyrics? What happened to the originality? Why??
Not as good as Twin Fantasy in my opinion but there are so many interesting tracks on this thing.
EDIT: (85 ---> 95) This project grew on me quite a bit. I'm starting to lean over more to this album after listening to Twin Fantasy so many times

Listened to this whole thing while reading a book. Fit the vibe well. Nothing that'll catch your attention, which is perfect for background tracks

EDIT: (A little rant about CSH fans) I won't lie. I haven't fully given some of CSH's earlier work my full attention. However, I think the community surrounding this band is absolutely atrocious. I see folks visiting this website and writing about how awful this album is because of the earlier version, or how Nervous Young Man is a better album, or some even rating Toledo's debut numbered albums higher than Face to Face. "I absolutely agree with your statement on Christian Contemporary Music. It's often that you find plenty of Christian records that focus a lot on the lyrics (which isn't an awful thing necessarily, I've heard groups like Bethel that have incredible lyrics with listenable instrumentations to say the least) and Half Alive is a well deserved break from the CCM scene. Although Josh Taylor often misuses his songwriting gift he was given. God blessed that man with the power to write very powerful, poetic lyrics, but the band pulled a 180 with their new release and gave in to the world's idolization of romantic relationships based around pleasure and secularism. Unfortunate, but they did leave behind this fantastic record which remains one of my favorite albums of all time."
