Michael Kiwanuka - Kiwanuka
80

If I made a movie, Michael Kiwanuka would do the soundtrack. Hero is one of the most cinematic songs ever. Solid Ground also deserves more love.

The Chords - Sh-Boom (Life Could Be a Dream)
98

GEE-WHIZZ I GOTTA TELL YA SKIPPY! THIS IS DARN TOOTIN ON THE HOOT-A-NANNY! GONNA SHUCK AND JIVE TO THIS HERE SLAPPING TUNE!

Tones And I - Welcome To The Madhouse

The title isn't lying, this album WILL drive you mad.

Harry Styles - Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.
40

Inconsistent All The Time. Meh, Occasionally.

It would be a straight lie if I said I didn't have solid hopes of this album being more than some surface level disco music. Sadly, it's much worse than I thought. The rest of these hollow, uninspired tracks make Aperture look like a block of Gold.

I'd like to first get off my confusion of where the disco energy comes in? Where the dance aspect is supposed to be? Did I miss something along the way? Last time I checked DISCO is ... read more

Night Tapes - assisted memories
70

Such a dreamlike listen. Doesn't exactly define the genre but it is so easy to get lost in the cosmic atmosphere of each track.

Navy Blue - Memoirs in Armour
80

This album is such a gem, it may not be as profound as his other projects but every message here deserves an ear. Navy Blue is such a poet.

The Notorious B.I.G. - Ready to Die
100

This album is an experience to be had. A staple in Hip Hop that changed the course of the genre after its release.

Tkay Maidza - Last Year Was Weird, Vol. 2
80

SHES GOT THE VOCAL CHOPS! SHES GOT THE RAP HUNGER! THIS EP IS THE ENTIRE PACKAGE WRAPPED IN A BOW!

Mac Miller - K.I.D.S. (Kickin' Incredibly Dope Shit)
70

OHH OHHH OHHHH, HONEY I NEED YOU ROUND, I KNOW, I KNOWWWWW

Mac Miller - Swimming
80

This album has really grown on me over the past few years. Some of Macs catchiest and most memorable tracks lie here.

Mac Miller - The Divine Feminine
60

While being so rich and grand in production, Mac doesn't strike as hard in some writing aspects. Divine is the best way to describe these heavenly instrumentals. On paper the concept seems exceptional but the execution just doesn't do much justice.

Bruno Mars - The Romantic
50

From Bruno Mars to Bruno MID. FULL REVIEW SOON.

Bruno Mars' "The Romantic" seriously lacks the creative motive to give it any exciting and commendable points. Bruno plays it simple and lays out 9 tracks of romance to sweeten the mood. I will say it does do its job well when creating a sensual atmosphere (like always with his music). However, this formula he follows is pretty hollow and uninteresting pretty often. Very bland writing, some weak instrumental choices, redundant ... read more

JID - HEY TONY!

JID collaborating with TONY THE F**KING TIGER before GTA 6.

Marvin Gaye - What's Going On
100

We already know it's a classic.. We all know Marvin is one of the greatest to do it. What else is there to say?

Marvin Gaye - I Want You
90

Can't get laid? Marvin Gaye's got you covered with this LP. Tons of smooth and sexy instrumentals behind Marvin's famously known angelic vocals. So much soul in this project, it'll practically have you dancing all day.

Yeat - DANGEROUS SUMMER
70

ARE YA'LL HEARING WHAT IM HEARING ON COME N GO?? THE SCORE SHOULD BE HIGHER!

Yeat is slowly but surely giving me faith in his ability to craft something fun and exciting. Wish he wasn't so back and forth with the level of quality he delivers.

Labi Siffre - Far Away
82

Recently fell in love with his discog. Seeing him return the same moment I'm getting into his music is amazing.

Don Toliver - OCTANE
40

I'm convinced this album is ragebait.

Don Toliver dropped arguably his BEST project in 2024 with Hardstone Psycho. Super gravitating production almost the whole way through and even had a good mixture of smooth and energetic performances. You can assume I would be more than ready to hear what he would have to offer next time around. 2026 I unexpectedly fall upon OCTANE, I'm sort of excited to get more of that hungry energetic side of Donny T.

I press play and off rip with E85.. I ... read more

Injury Reserve turned By Storm have completely pulled me into their chilling abstract atmosphere once again. Everything one could possibly love about Injury Reserve is right here in the flesh.

"Cuz the writing is unbearably horrendous lmao. How could you possibly take her seriously? She tries so hard to create a serious atmosphere with thought provoking undertones but ends up writing some seriously goofy shit. I can drop multiple lines from almost every song that are super cringe."

"@Triplo Thanks! It's not a bad album by any means. I'm still taking a few listens but I may up it to a 70 with time."

"@Bandia If I don't mention a song sometimes it may mean that I don't really feel much for it therefore I don't have anything to really speak on but I can understand where you're coming from. I see the appeal, both picnic in paris and stargazing have great vocal performances I don't mind plus the atmosphere is very soothing. However they just don't stand out too much compared to the higher highs he's had on the album in my opinion but that's personal taste."
