This project is arguably Cole's most boring. 1985 and Kevin's Heart doing everything in their power to bring things up. I mean a lot of these beats are nothing captivating or even new for Cole. Interesting ideas and concept all around but he executes it in such a BORING manner. The writing is pretty half baked here for the most part but he delivers his lines and bars so well that it kind of distracts from how underwhelming the overall product is.
Funniest album to ever exist, the LP just feels like a bunch of bros goofing around and having fun. I genuinely couldn't stop laughing and smiling through the whole thing. I remember learning about this after Kanye talked about it being his favorite album of all time sometime a while back. I can 100% see this influencing Kanye's College Dropout debut. So much character shown and tons of comedy put into just about every track (just like T.C.D. does). Pure clownery going on with some ... read more
Critic score is devastatingly low.. Big L has the grit, lyrical skill, and witty bars that only the best MCs could bring. Amazing beat selection all over as well. Put it on is one of my favorite songs of all time, and Fed Up Wit the Bullshit is A CERTIFIED BANGER that holds a strong message about racial injustice and delivers it perfectly.

"It was perfect. Perfect! Everything, down to the last, minute details."
Imagine you are alone, traversing an empty, vast sea. Exploration calling your name. Only one album could possibly be appropriate for the occasion. Quadeca’s Vanisher Horizon Scraper. Hailing from Los Angeles is Ben Lasky aka Quadeca, who has been a pretty big talk within the music community and for good reason, where do I begin that ... read more
DAMN YOU PLANET CARAVAN! Absolute cusp of perfection, insane chord progression, vocal talent, drum skill, the whole sha-bang. A lot of room given for Tony Lommi to shred with absolute hunger! Ozzy backing the group up with his killer voice and all together just creating this potent experience full of unforgettable tracks. Paranoid has the classic touch of what defines 70's rock/metal yet doesn't feel outdated the same way quite a few big name bands from that era do (AC/DC, The Eagles, ... read more
I just can't do it.. even sematary is a bit more easy to get into and I don't care much for his music either. The way Che drains me of all emotion with such repulsive vocals, terrible sound quality, and uninspired clearly cloned musical style. Dollar store Carti is the only way to sum it up. I understand this must be fun to listen to for some but I'll be damned if I force myself to act like this is creatively/consistently on par with anything I've rated a 6 or up. I ... read more
This show is rivaling with Regular Show for the Big Cartoon Network 3 (which includes Adventure Time and Gumball), purely off the music alone imo. Love this show and its soundtrack.
The group starts off their career rocky between undercooked ideas and a vanilla sound that lacks any distinguishing flavor. They remind me a lot of beach bunny here and it's nice to know after this project, their sound had developed further into a lane built for them. This LP contains face value pop with bits of flourishing value scattered around. This LP has some good moments but a lot more that pass as OK.
I cried to Birds Don't Sing.
Y'all seen Justin Bieber throwing shade at Clipse?? Random ass stray💀.
It's great to see Clipse having their breakout moment with all the internet coverage they've been getting. One of the few reasons to love this generation. Pusha and Malice have been putting in work since before my time, I'll say that much. They may be one dimensional in writing substance when it comes to... well "substance". However, this doesn't ... read more
Mehhhhhh.. Not really good but not THAT bad. Lacks anything special enough to grab my attention, lots of boring cuts that have no flavor. Every track has no payoff or worthwhile production that feels gravitating. Only case I can make for this project is that it plays everything painfully safe, the tracks are listenable and present themselves ok for the most part. No favorites just some tolerable tracks overall. I wanted to sleep through most of it.
Favorites: none
Least Favorite: Lodged
Superb soft vocals with solid consistency. Nothing bad here, just that she takes a lane that other artists in her genre have excelled beyond at. However this doesn't diminish the quality Marissa brings with her soft, dreamlike energy created from nothing but her voice and haunting guitar strings. The atmosphere often feels faint, distant, and dark like a nightmare.
