A Melodic, Charming, and Touching Collection of Songs... A True Deserved Classic...
After pulling a controversial 180 (more like a 90) with 'Bringing It All Back Home', Dylan doubles down on his new style, creating an album that retains the same melodic touch, with The Band adding an atmosphere to the already immersive sound. Dylan's lyrics have this vivid imagery but vague meaning that keeps them interesting on every listen, hell, I even sat down and read some of this stuff on ... read more
Natural Masterwork
Hendrix continues his discography with a more refined, experimental, and emotion album. Some of his best songs and his best conventional album.

This is better then his debut...
Apparently that's a hot take and I understand why, but this album clicked far better for me. Firstly, the elements of his first album are reused over and over on here, which is understandably why it comes off as dull in comparison. A Bunch of Lonesome Heros - So Long Marianne, Seems So Long Ago - One of Us. The elements are all the same, but they seem more refined, like a second attempt at an already good first album. It's rawer, more emotional, and ... read more
The Spiritual Finale To The Trilogy
I SWEAR, I'M NOT FANTANO-CORE FOR LIKING TBK THE BEST! Where The Seer is haunting and daunting, and To Be Kind is groovy and in your face, The Glowing Man is spiritual, emotional, and cathartic. The buildups are beautiful and engaging, the drone is draining and immersive, the melodic moments are beautiful, and the crescendos hit harder then ever. I particularly enjoy the more normally structured songs. 'People Like Us', 'When Will I ... read more
A Step Backward, But A Good Step Nonetheless
After the very cool Pop 2, Charli is less of "the next step" and more of "a simple refinement" of the formula. Whether that's necessary or not is debatable, but this is still a cool album. There's a solid amount of skips (it seems 10-11 tracks is her sweet spot), and the highs aren't as high as other projects. Production is still very satisfying and original.

One of the first Great Hyperpop/Bubblegum Bass Albums, and Charli's First Great Album (mixtape techniquely)
Pop 2 can keep a relatively usual structure for pop, but keeps it exciting, original, creative, and downright impressive. The catchy hooks and incredible production kept every song entertaining, and even though it's a mixtape, this would make a great album. The way some songs slowly build to a distorted and chaotic ending is just the best. But some of the features could easily ... read more
A Fun But Forgettable Project...
Bob Dylan decided that he didn't want to be the political preacher anymore and made this, a more light-hearted, fun album. It's very different his previous album "A-Changing" with a serious tone. Most songs on here are just little tunes that you can sing along too, but never packs too much of an emotional punch. That leads to an album that is fun and easily listenable at any time, but one that's relatively forgettable among Dylan's ... read more
A Bit All Over The Place... Yet Somehow Pulls It Off
After the masterpiece that is White Pony, and the extremely underrated follow-up Self-Titled, Deftones now have their final album in their "Dark-Era". As a finale, this is great, continuing and expanding upon every element that Deftones has become known for. The atmosphere, walls of melodic sound, and experimentation are all here. But with so many elements, the album gets a little too caught up. Some songs are more Alt-Rock-ish ... read more
Swans In Their Finest Hour...
Every Swans album takes a while to... digest. To Be Kind is no different. But unlike some others, I had loads of fun digesting this one. The reveal of every song felt rewarding, all 30+ times. After coming from The Seer, I was curious how the rest of the trilogy would sit with me. The Seer was immersive, haunting, but very daunting, which led to an album I enjoyed but couldn't love. To Be Kind takes all the elements of instrumentation from The Seer and turns ... read more
An Album of Many Emotions
I had trouble articulating my feelings for Nick Drake's debut album. It possesses so many different emotions at once, but never fully commits to any of them. While I've heard his later works become more somber, Five Leaves Left is far more comforting than cold. But amidst its lush, calming sound, there are hints of Drake's isolation, adding a slight melancholy to his lyrics and delivery. I've been looking forward to this album, and for the most ... read more
It’s Too Bad This Is Better Than Sgt. Pepper
Magical Mystery Tour was an expected surprise amongst The Beatles catalogue. On one hand, it’s an ‘ALBUM’ filled with some of The Beatles best songs to date. And it’s possibly the most consistant, having only 11 tracks. On the other hand, there’s an unnecessary ‘spite’ around MMT. Because it’s a less official album from the Beatles, people tend to view it as a compilation, and therefore undermine ... read more
Proto-Ziggy, that's almost as enjoyable...
Hunky Dory is the first GREAT David Bowie album. Although his last two efforts were good, they felt more like experiments with his musical identity, but this is his full realization, the mature and complete David Bowie. Although Ziggy (and Aladdin Sane) would take these ideas to deeper and darker areas, Hunky Dory feels more emotional, reflected in the piano-driven tracks. And although it's consistent, a couple of tracks hold it down. But ... read more
The Beatles truly revolutionized music, culture, and facial hair.
This album is like a beam of sunshine without the UV rays. Like spring became an entity, and it had a Liverpool accent. This whole thing brings me joy from beginning to end. Although so far in my Beatles journey, "Revolver" has been the best work, this is a close second. The last 15 minutes might be the greatest run the Beatles have ever pulled off. Only wish the title track and reprise were longer. Also, that 2017 ... read more
Nothing really stands out. The first and last songs were alright, but the middle two were kinda annoying.

You know what's better than peanut butter and jelly on white bread?... Freddie Gibbs and Madlib on white bread.
This is it... THE BEST RAP ALBUM OF ALL TIME... or at least my favorite. Every beat, every bar, is just burnt into my brain. It's perfection. Plus, there's so much emotional diversity throughout that it's my definitive rap album. Like, if I had to pick one to listen to for my whole life, it'd be this one.

My Personal Favorite Beatles Album...
What a creative and mindblowing album. Every song here has such a charming quality while still retaining a sense of modern flair. Seriously, how do people say this has skips? "Love You To," " Yellow Submarine," "Want To Tell You," all BANGERS. It's just too good. Shoutout to Giles Martin for making that top-tier remaster (or remix idk).

Severely Underrated...
Although not quite as good, Self-Titled is a worthy follow-up to White Pony. It's heavier, darker, and still retains that artsy energy that Deftones has become known for. But unlike White Pony, this record lacks the same level of consistency. There are a couple of duds (Lucky You, Moana), but the album stays great from beginning to end. "Hexagram" is a return to the nu-metal style seen in Around The Fur. "When Girls Telephone Boys," my personal ... read more
A Rare Sighting... A Genre Invented By White People
What a great and creative album. It still sounds modern (possible thanks to the remaster), still sounds dark, still fun, still a headbanger. I can vividly imagine some British kid at a music house in 1970 getting his mind-blow and falling backwards while tapping his foot. I'd also like to say that i prefer the US Version, Wicked World > Evil Woman, and when the tracks are combined they stand out more.
