Bootlxgg's debut project BLIZZARD is an experience. Despite only being 12 minutes in length, he manages to create a very unique and intricate soundscape, which is cold (like a blizzard i get it !!!) and industrial at the same time. Despite that description, the EP manages to keep a pretty high energy throughout the project, with some brief ambient passages that act as perfect transitions between each track. The only song on BLIZZARD that doesn't follow this format is FREEMONEY, which is a full ... read more
teen week was my aoty but zekes progressed so much as an artist since then, this is definitely gonna be my favorite of 2021 and potential my favorite album of all time as it continues to grow on me, theres nothing else like it
HUMAN45 is the debut album from LYYNXCLUB member TEYO! After his single with fellow LYYNXCLUB producers Xevvec and Zoryan, as well as his feature on Condemn by Higin, it's about time we got some solo work from him. Unlike previous releases from the collective, all the production on the album was handled by Brayden Potts, with some mixing assistance from Xevvec. Admittedly, I hadn't heard of Brayden Potts until learning about Teyo's music, but I was taken by surprise once the album ... read more
there are a lot of aspects i like about this, and the first track puts me in a great mood, but his "quirky" delivery can come off as very irritating, not a fan of his yip yip ad libs either. this album would be a lot better if he just used his regular voice, he sounds fine in interviews that i've heard from him
HE DOES NOT MISS
Edit: i had this at a 10 at one point but it has grown off me a little bit, some of the longer songs can make it harder to come back to on relistens but its still an amazing album
A month after Indigo, the first project from LYYNXCLUB member Xevvec was released, Kovonaut continues the collectives constant output of music with his debut album, sleepaway.
Like Xevvec, Kovonaut is primarily a producer, so on paper you might think that these two albums would sound similar. While getting more music by Xev isn't a bad thing, I loved Indigo as a matter of fact, I am very glad to say that sleepaway is it's own separate project, and has a lot of production aspects that I prefer ... read more
Going to the Planet Zero Summer Solstice is one of the most surreal things I've ever experienced, 8 hours of amazing sets from 27 different performers. To cap off the night, Zeke played this song as the last one of their set, and it's a moment thats probably gonna stick with me for a long time. It was a perfect way to end the festival, and makes me insanely excited for whatever they do next. This has solidified dltzk as my favorite producer of all time.
This is the longest 30 minutes I've ever experienced, I don't even remember what any of the songs sound like and I just finished listening
this is one of the only 15+ track rap albums that keeps my attention all the way, robalu gibsun is such a great rapper and he NEEDS to put this up on streaming
the worst thing an album can do is bore me, comparing this to COA is like night and day
this is one of the hardest beats dltzk has ever made, and the verses from kyenn to lonemoon are pretty consistent in quality, but after them the other featured guests tend to derail the song, the only standout is MOL$. generally i found myself only replaying the first half of that song, but that first half is HARD
does ironic enjoyment of an album count? i know this is bad and the delivery is extremely lazy but it somehow adds to the album
