I've been waiting for this album for over a year and I was not disappointed in the least. A brilliant blend of every genre Quinn has dabbled in over the past two (ish?) years, drive-by lullabies is everything could have hoped for and more. Okay, so I think the concept is that this is a joke, but for some reason it feels as though he put A LOT more effort into this... Is he some sort of self aware mastermind? Or is he legitimately just fucking with everyone like he seems to be? I can't tell.
God it is so hard to be a Hobo Johnson fan in 2021.
Either way, this is (at least from an enjoyability standpoint) much better than the Revenge.
Ugh.
After listening to the SHIT SHOW that was I want to see the world, I put off this album for as long as I could because I don't want to taint my love for his works (mainly the Fall and some of the Rise). But holy fuck this is disappointing. It's not as bad as some od the reviews make it out to be, but wow. It's so.... stale. There are maybe 2 or 3 good songs here. I don't know. It's just mediocre, and coming down from the high of the Fall, it's just so sad. 😔
I can't quite believe my luck. The week in which I finally decided to try and finish the CLK discography, the final album is released. I can't wait to listen to this thing
