Lovely collection of some of Beck's romantic tracks from over the years. Nice to see some of these deep cuts more easily accessible now!
Favourite tracks: Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometimes, Ramona, True Love Will Find You In The End

Thanks again to @consyl for the recommendation!
These guys are unabashedly fans of bands like Weezer (they interpolate Blast Off in the first track) and Ozma (right down to the album art on that one) and it’s great! Appropriately geeky in all the right areas.
Only real complaint would be that the mixing isn’t that great on a few of the tracks, but I can forgive that since this is a demo tape.
Favourite tracks: Take Off, Smell You in a Hug, July (Redux)

After removing the punk from their last album, FOB do the opposite and release a straight hardcore punk album that sounds really good! Really wish they did more stuff in this sound.
Favourite tracks: Hot To The Touch, Cold On The Inside, Love, Sex, Death, Caffeine Cold
Least favourite: Eternal Summer
Solid track and (possibly) final one. A nice note to (hypothetically) go out
After a 5 year hiatus, Fall Out Boy Returned and released a straight pop-rock album. It’s pretty dated sound wise (it reeks of 2013) but it’s still a decent listen.
It’s definitely got highlights showing that the newer sound can work, but the lows are just bad and really drag it down.
Favourite tracks: The Phoenix, My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark, Miss Missing Me
Least favourite: Young Volcanoes
This is great! It’s your typical Prince fair but it’s 80’s Prince so it’s bound to be great. Just a fun listen.
Favourite tracks: Controversy, Sexuality, Private Joy
Least favourite: Annie Christian
3 very nice sounding acoustic tracks. This is basically a mini MTV Unplugged if you think about it
Thanks @consyl for the recommendation!
Very solid power-pop with a bit of a country twang thanks to the acoustic guitar mixed in with the typical electric one. Will be interesting to see what this band does next!
Favourite tracks: Quit With Suzy (75k), Can’t Read Velvet, Galaga
Least favourite: Enjoy The Movies
This album sounds so entrancing and hypnotic in its dreamy soundscape! Some really great and under appreciated indie-pop! A shame it gets kinda looked over now because of Heatwaves being more financially successful.
Favourite tracks: Life Itself, The Other Side Of Paradise, Agnes
Least favourite: [Premade Sandwiches]
Thanks @consyl for recommending this to me!
This is great! Some brilliant Weezer like power pop and shows how good Ozma! And, if you’re someone like me who wants some more Weezer, it’s just as good as some of their best!
Favourite tracks: Utsukushii Shibuya, Turtleneck Coverup, Restart
Least favourite: Come Home Andrea
Honestly pretty decent showcase of what the next album will sound like. Just kinda nice
Favourite track: Peggy Guggenheim
Least favourite: The Glamour of Rock
Really good! Just some solid punk not much else to say

3 very solid tracks and 1 weird ass cover. It’s decent. Not much to say except it’s early Green Day.
Favourite track: Paper Lanterns
Least favourite: Knowledge
Green Days first album is interesting. It’s more punk than the rest of their catalog and is the only album without Tre Cool drumming. It’s neat but not an essential album unless you’re a diehard fan.
Favourite tracks: At The Library, Disappearing Boy, Going To Pasalacqua
Least favourite: Rest
Holy Hell! What an Experience! Wasn’t really feeling it at first but it completely blew me away by the end!
The bounce back is insane! They completely scrapped everything that made the self titled album so forgettable and return to a sound more similar to Antics. Super underrated and easily one of their best!
Favourite tracks: All The Rage Back Home, My Desire, Tidal Wave
Least favourite: Twice As Hard
Bloc Party if they formed in the 70’s.
The forerunner for the entirety of dance-punk does exactly what it says on the tin. Make post-punk danceable. One of the most stylistically cool albums of the time period and the starting point for a great genre!
Favourite tracks: Natural’s Not In It, Damaged Goods, I Found That Essence Rare
Least favourite: Love Like Anthrax
