Future Discography Reviews #9
An absolutely iconic duo before the beef, Drake and Future deliver us What a Time to Be Alive. A short, yet pretty solid mixtape that displays good teamwork and curation. Of course I have to mention Jumpman, it is the best off of the tracklist, even though Diamonds Dancing and Digital Dash are both really really good too. There are some tracks that I do find to be really oddly placed on the tracklist, like Plastic Bag (Shit name for a song I can't lie). ... read more

Future album covers are honestly on a whole different level. This is gas as hell. The second half of the track list is really really good, and the first half is fine but nothing crazy. A bit of a mixed bag, but many Future LP's are, so in my eyes, this is quite quality. My favorite tracks are Low life, Fly Shit Only, Maybach, and Lil Haiti Baby.
Freddie Gibbs Discography Reviews #1
For a mixtape that has this bad of a name and album cover, this is actually really really solid. Freddie's debut mixtape contains many solid performances and is a strong precursor of his style and evolution. What I find so interesting about this mixtape is how underground and raw it sounds. For some reason while I listen to this project, I just imagine "What would Freddie sound like if he was affiliated with Griselda?". Favorite Tracks are ... read more

Quick anecdote about me and DS2, back when I was trying to get into rap one of the first ever albums I tried to listen to was DS2. I heard of Future's name but didn't actually know what he sounded like. I did not even get through Thought It was a Drought. I really did not like Future apparently. Glad I have evolved since then and became good at listening to albums.
Future's DS2, while having a cool ass album cover, also has some cool ass songs. And ... read more

Finally getting back to some consistency here on my part, I need to review a shit ton of albums that I have listened to that I did not have time to review while I was away. To get caught up with the Future discography reviews, I need to carry on with 56 Nights. This mixtape is probably my favorite so far out of the mixtapes (not including Monster, ik it is a mixtape but I cannot help but see it as a album experience). It has one of Futures best ever tracks, March ... read more
I never thought I would find an album that makes me feel more fearful and on edge then By the Time I Get to Phoenix. Thanks billy woods.
billy woods, coming off of a two year hiatus (based off of his solo content, not Armand Hammer), delivers his hungry fans with GOLLIWOG. After many many enjoyable listens, I am finally ready to dissect possibly billy woods magnum opus (haven't listened to all of his stuff yet, still quite new, but I struggle to see much beating this).

Shoutout to the goat @ThatWhiteGuy
Finally done with all my finals, can't wait to get back to reviewing. I am very behind on many albums, like nearly all of Mac Millers discography, quite a few Freddie Gibbs projects, a REASON project, and somehow even more. A busy two weeks of music I did not have time to review, but we will get caught up eventually.
The Good The Bad The Dollar Menu is Ray Vaughn's debut album, and wow it is a strong showing. Vaughn's talent to rap over these ... read more
Mac Miller Discography Reviews #6
During my brief hiatus of studying for finals which is still unfortunately going on until Tuesday, I ended up finishing all of Mac Miller's discography. I started with Watching Movies with the Sound Off. This album seems to be the transition to much more introspective Mac Miller and I have to say, I fucking love it. This album is soooo enjoyable and the performances are unbelievably consistent. Tracks like The Star Room, Im not Real, Red Dot Music, I Am ... read more

Idk guys I am not really feeling this one. Gonna let this one sit with me for a little longer, score is due to change. Will right a proper review after a couple more listens.

Not really loving this, however there are some really amazing tracks like Donald Trump and I'll be there. I will right a proper review at some point but I need to keep studying.
Mac Miller Discography Reviews #2
Blue Slide Park, while definetly does feel like a downgrade from his debut KIDS, Mac Miller still does bring some very solid flows and verses to make the project a mostly enjoyable listen. Loitering and Up All Night are weird songs for sure, especially Loitering bro was straight yapping on that one. However I really enjoyed English Lane, Blue Slide Park, PA Nights, Under the Weather, and Missed Calls. I enjoyed much more those are just my highlights. Overall, ... read more

Yes yes, we are starting the one and only Mac Miller discography, mostly because I don't want Balloonerism to be my first Mac Miller experience as people have said it is quite experimental for his common sound. After finally finishing the behemoth that was Nas's entire 20 studio album discog, I am happy to be taking on a decently shorter one, though one that I am excited to see a lot of growth and evolution.
When it comes to KIDS, I was aware that I ... read more
Nas Discography Reviews (19/20)
We are almost there. The second installment into the Magic triology, while I find it a slight downgrade then the original, still boasts some prolific gems in Nas's catalogue.
To start with production, there is something about these Hit-Boy beats in the Magic triology that feels just so refreshing when it comes to Nas. The beats are completely different from what we have normally heard from Nas over the course of his career. Really fantastic beats on ... read more
Like Quaranta from Danny Brown of 23, Blu gives us a very introspective and personal account of love, the rap game, and how he has grown on his first 2025 release, Forty. Blu delivers some top-notch rapping over these soulful / jazzy beats, which August Fanon chops and samples beautifully. The posse cut Love(1-4) is one of the best songs of the year so far, everyone delivering verses on a different experience with Love, some being to their child, spouse, and even the mic. Blu remains a titan ... read more
Nas Discography Reviews (18/20)
The last of the King's disease triology, and let me say this immediately. JAY-Z's Volume triology gets absolutely fucking smoked by KD triology. Lowkey Blueprint triology vs KD triology quality wise is pretty close too. I mean Blueprint carries obviously, but Blueprint 2 and 3 are not even close to as good, and all of KD is hella consistent. Tricky convo honestly.
But anyways enough rambling, let's talk about KD 3. This album is reallyyyyy good. ... read more
Honestly I messed with this quite a bit. I do understand the criticism of that it does not really match the amazing singles off of TFS like Dance Now and Surround Sound. However, I feel that the rapping performance is very strong still from JID and his flow is still crazy as usual. This kinda that song that plays in a intense sport training montage in a movie. I vibe with that heavy.
Future Discography Reviews #5
Feeling pretty mixed on Beast Mode. Future has both really solid yet really jarring performances for me. To first say, this is easily the 'mumbliest' I have ever heard Future. Tracks like Oooooooh and Forever Eva, you absolutely have no idea what bro is saying. I understand that that is kinda his thing so i'm gonna try and not take that into account too much, though it is not really my favorite style.
However, there are some really solid songs on ... read more
Nas Discography Reviews (17/20)
Why is Nas so fucking gas ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜. This guy has actually become one of my favorite rappers to listen to in my free time throughout the series. With Illmatic, It was Written, this 2020's run, literally every one, I Am..., Stillmatic, God's Son, and some hidden gems in the middle like NASIR and Nas, this guy has not missed yet (do not mention Nastradamus).
Magic, one of TWO releases in 2021, further impresses this generational run from my goat. ... read more
