Cities Aviv - The Revolving Star : Archive & Practice 002
85

Cities Aviv’s 35 song compilation is filled with gems like patchwork demo, stage drama, and black on earth, almost every song is an immersive trip, but listening to this start to finish will leave some songs on the top of your mind, while others you might even forget that they’re on the album. The highs on here top the highs on black pleasure in my opinion though.

Cities Aviv - BLACK PLEASURE
92

Bro pitchfork gave a higher score to y2k🤦‍♂️

Swans - To Be Kind
90

Very immersive and atmospheric noise rock, the lyrics use a lot of imagery to enhance the overall experience of the album, very good.

Chris Travis - The Prefix
68

Why is he sampling Star Wars on catastrophe. I think it’s a decent album that suffers from heavy bloat. Some flows are bland and copy paste on some songs, but on the first half of the album I felt like the beats were hitting pretty well, but idk maybe it’s the long runtime but I just got tired of listening to this, but not terrible, I’ll definitely still be bumping some of this.

Deftones - White Pony
100

IMO Deftones best album

Danny Brown - Stardust
68

Mid hyperpop/rap. But from Danny Brown I’d say he did very good on the experimentation meter.

King Geedorah - Take Me to Your Leader
86

If you combine all of MF DOOM’s characters into one, you’d get some crazy shiz. Especially some crazy shiz with a character like King Geedorah in it.

OutKast - ATLiens
93

East Point, smoke some dank🔥🔥🔥

mgk - blog era boyz
40

Who thought this was a good idea. Find them and put them in an insane asylum. I’d honestly rather listen to a 2 hour Yuno Miles album, because Yuno miles is actually becoming kinda good.

Chief Keef - Back from the Dead
88

I understand the chief keef hype now, this is as good as drill has ever been, and now it’s dead, keef fell off, king von and pop smoke died, polo g also fell off. But songs like monster are so special, a great mixtape overall that helped trash get catapulted as well as Finally Rich and Almighty So, but I think this is the best of them. Really cool cover art as well.

Quadeca - SCRAPYARD
79

Just sniffs the 80 rank, but falls short. Just a bit mid compared to VHS, a good project though

Lil Ugly Mane - VOLCANIC BIRD ENEMY AND THE VOICED CONCERN
85

I think for the people that do know this, they overrate it a bit, but nonetheless this project is great, it neeeeds more popularity, lil ugly mane is the greatest niche artist ever

Alice in Chains - Alice in Chains
91

Bro what are the critics doing😭

Kilo - The Book Of Kilo
60

The book of kilo is a decent rap album from one of the greatest pioneers of Atlanta, Kilo Ali. It had decent production and verses, but it was a bit too bland and almost unfinished to get a high score.

MF DOOM - Operation: Doomsday
95

HOT TAKE, Operation Doomsday is the best rap album of 1999 over Black on Both Sides. I think the production here is better than BOBS, and MF Doomsday lyricism is on full display, crazy wordplay, and a playful comeback for him after tragedies that he had faced.

R.A.P. Ferreira - Purple Moonlight Pages
76

Deeply personal abstract hip hop bars over great beats, I really liked the middle of this album.

Fashawn - Boy Meets World
75

Maybe a bit bloated but on a debut you need to show people as much as you can to get them hooked on you, great quality here, samsonite man and the title track are phenomenal.

Travis Scott - Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight
60

Hmm meh meh meh mmm meh meh meh

Frank Ocean - nostalgia,ULTRA.
78

Not as good as channel orange and blonde, but if it’s frank he won’t fail to deliver.
