Buried somewhere (deep, deep) under filler after filler is an almost-idea, a vague promise that this album could have been tolerable, meaningful, substantial, or heartfelt (Twentysomethings, June Gloom). Unfortunately, that potential never comes to fruition even with those aforementioned tracks, and, in the end, this LP reads as nothing but a facsimile of sincerity, a bold-font lie that never works hard enough for your attention.

Live Through This isn't an easy listen by any ... read more
