Well, my Muse marathon comes to an end, and what a wet fart of an ending. Simulation Theory is an interesting album, I generally like to give bands props for trying something new but it also feels like Muse is trend-chasing here so I can't exactly call it adventurous. Seriously what happened here? Yeah, The 2nd Law was a mixed bag but at least it was fun, most of this album is either boring or embarrassing. First The Resistance and now this album both have stellar album art for less than stellar albums.
But I do like this album more than The Resistance at least, it's more musically interesting, more diverse, and just plain fun. I'd take Panic Station any day over most of the vacant political ramblings off of the previous album.
