The Microphones - It Was Hot, We Stayed in the Water
89

I don't know why I chose this album to listen to on my birthday, but it does feel like a good “your getting older and the world around you is changing but that's okay” type album. I love the Microphones and I love Phil.

BROCKHAMPTON - SATURATION
80

First things first, Fuck Ameer Vann

That being said, Saturation I is a bold and exciting introduction to the trio that made the group a major force in alternative hip-hop. Brimming with personality, this debut album is the perfect blend of catchy choruses, experimental production, and cheeky lyrics.

Death Grips - Death Grips
76

Humble beginnings for the Grips. The majority of these tracks would be retooled and reworked into the legendary Exmilitarty, but this ep is still worth the listen to.

60

Yeah I just don't think the Cars are for me

Cattle Decapitation - Death Atlas
81

Bring Back the Plague

The Sundays - Blind
80

Definitely weaker than the debut but still beautiful and Wild Horses is a bop

Rage Against the Machine - Evil Empire
93

Tire Me is the best Rage song, and if you disagree, feel free to meet me at the playground after school, and we can settle this

Thursday - White Bikes
80

White bikes on the side of the road

Being as an Ocean - Dear G-d...
82

such an amazing debut for a band I fully thought was going to be the face of Post Hardcore of the 2010s, but for one reason or another just didn't turn out that way. Neither the less, this album is excellent.

HEALTH - DEATH MAGIC
72

This album solidified HEALTH's big jump from synthy noise rock to straight-up cyberpunk pop, and while not my favorite from them, it definitely paid off in the end based on how popular they've become and how much collaboration they've done with this change in style.

They also somehow gardened one of the most horny internet core fan bases I've seen, and I have no idea how

Gillian Carter - Dreams of Suffocation
75

The shape of skramz to come

Jawbreaker - Dear You
70

Jawbreakers first major studio album and the last album they made before calling it quits. It's definitely an important album for the growing Emo alt moment of the mid-90s, but all in all, it's just okay. There are no real lows or Highs for me.

Boris - Dear
69

After a trilogy of very odd albums, Boris decide to go way back to their roots of sludgy, doomy, post metal such as what you find on their debut of amplifier worship. Dear has some solid moments, but Feels a little too safe for what I know Boris is capable of

Low - I Could Live in Hope
92

30 years of this

Chico Science & Nação Zumbi - Da Lama Ao Caos
90

I am now a firm believer in Brazilian alt metal

SZA - Ctrl
84

Vicious, fun debut from SZA

HOME - Odyssey
75

Before you even start I don't want to hear it, I'm trying to buy a house and letting go of a grail, not open to offers - It's in excellent condition, cosmetically there's nothing wrong with it and only played once or twice. This is also a public announcement for Randy to press more records.

84

It’s like if Dillinger Escape Plan and Coheed and Cambria had a baby, and they gave that baby a rockstar energy drink.

The Moody Blues - Days of Future Passed
80

Very unique, experimental, and beautiful concept album that Is essentially just the band expressing how much they love Tuesdays
I like the part where it randomly sounds like 13th floor elevators and early Floyd
