In just 2 album cycles, Quadeca is quickly growing to becoming one of my favorite artists of all time.
Considering the more loose and casual feel, this is a surprisingly strong follow-up to his previous album. Quadeca provides a very creative and varied mixtape filled to the brim with personality and emotion. The production is phenomenal, the writing is beautiful, the vocals are charming, and the features from brakence and Kevin Abstract are a perfect fit for the project. I love how he mixes ... read more
some bangers, stays varied and creative, but also a bit inconsistent in quality. and i also have no clue why nate thought collaborating with i set my friends on fire was a good idea... i mean i get the myspace aesthetic and all, it's just not an appealing mix of genres, at least for me.
regardless, this project is a solid edm experience that tackles all kinds of sounds, keeping that signature alien eliminate sound throughout while exploring and matching different genres, from trap and dubstep ... read more
I've been incredibly excited for this project ever since I heard the singles April rolled out; from the anthemic Locals (Girls like us) to the minimal and creepy You don't even know who i am, both the songs and the phenomenal videos had me deeply invested in the aesthetic and story of the project from the getgo.
This album did not disappoint one bit. I wanna wait to listen to it a few more times befoe going in-depth, but on a first listen this is phenomenal, from the production, to the singing ... read more
i'm just gonna drop in to say i misread the title as "unholy defecation". that is all. i will not be listening to this album.
EVERYBODY HAS BAD DAYS, DON'T WORRY! IT'S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD, THERE'S ALWAYS TOMORROW! YOU CAN DO IT! I'M READY TO SUPPORT YOUR NEXT EFFORT. I'M ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU.
Wuh- wh- WHAT?! WHY?! WHEN!?!?! WHO ALLOWED THIS SHIT?!??!?!?!?!?!?!
Look, Gravy is kind of a guilty pleasure artist for me, he's got some bangers, but... really? A song with fucking Dream of all people? Over a generic-ass indie pop rap blend bullcrap beat? I was constantly cringing at Dream's basic sad boy lyricism ("how can I look up when I'm feeling down, down" made me physically flinch). Gravy somehow manages to find his own pocket in the beat though, and his charisma kind of ... read more
Dev carries as always, Nick & Ethan are okay but clearly much more amateurish; that doesn't really matter though, since you can tell they had an absolute blast fucking around in the studio. Really interested to see where this group goes from here, cos there's definitely potential to go beyond the novelty and make some really interesting stuff.
lady gaga MEAT DRESS
just realised this is my 100th rating. perfect.
I'll be honest. Until today I was pretty indifferent to this album. I liked some songs, and I could see why there was so much hype around it, but it didn't really click with me. I rated it a 95 mostly out of fear of going against the popular opinion in such an iconic album and moved on, thinking maybe I was too white and stupid to understand.
I think I get it now. This shit is genius.
I- Uh- I mean- Vinyl LP
WOW. I love this. Such a tasteful mix of genres, great production that stays exciting, a variety of sounds and moods while keeping a consistent aesthetic, and effortlessly charming performances. The only gripe I have with this is some hooks here and there are a bit weak.
By the way, that fuckin "check the pronouns, they them n****s" bar caught me so off guard, I still don't know if it's corny or genius.

First and foremost, yes, I found this through Brad. This isn't the kind of stuff I usually listen to, but... this album is too gorgeous for me not to love it. You can hear the passion and effort that went into it, even if it's not the most refined project ever. I got genuine chills from some of the songs, which is something I haven't experienced in a while.
Looking forward to seeing this artist grow and evolve, hopefully find a larger audience as they develop their sound.

Had to come back to this EP to remind me why I enjoyed glaive's music so much after the dissapointment of his most recent project.
Fav Tracks: astrid, dnd, pissed
First reaction review time. First of all, I fuck with glaive. I liked his cypress grove EP back in 2020 a lot, I like the way he layers his vocals and I think he has a lot of potential. That being said... This album can be a bit much.
It sounds like his collab with MGK last year influenced his sound, and I don't think that's a good thing at all. His vocal delivery has become a lot more grating and obnoxious than I remembered in some tracks, he screams and strains his voice, which, sure, if ... read more
grrrr go back to making funny raps raaahhh im so angry mr zack >:((
On a serious note, this EP is alright. A bit overhated, probably due to people's expectations that Zack would keep making more comedy rap. Although I must say I hope this is just a one-off, because I'm sure this sound would get exhausting for a full album. I'm glad it's a short and sweet project for that reason.
Fun listen. Zack comes up with plenty of witty and funny lines, I like his performances overall, just feel like the beat selection could be better in some cases. I mean, Alchemist's beat is obviously great, BNYX generally brings fire, but it's still all over the place quality wise.
Faves: fafo, bane, mind your business, shut the fuck up talking to me
Zack eating cereal in a self-driving car in the music video is such a hard flex
Jeleel has an energy that is just unmatched. I don't think he's realised his full potential just yet, but this is still a really fun listen, and when it hits, it fucking HITS.
2nd listen edit: given how disappointing Opium has been the last couple years, I think if he does things right Jeleel could lead a new wave of rage. He has such a recognizable voice and infectious energy, catchy hooks, and overall if he can consistently replicate the quality of songs like DIVE IN! or SHOTS! in a full ... read more
