This album is not background music to play while doing something else or to set the vibe. This is an album that you should prepare to sit down and listen for. Inuit throat singing is a form of art that is very difficult to master and takes intense dedication (it takes years to even become comfortable with the techniques or learn individual sounds, let alone to master it!) and it has been passed down as an important form of cultural expression for hundreds of years. It is so freaking cool to see ... read more
This entire OST is some of my favorite comfort music to play when I'm struggling, not just this album. Memories and Dreams is iconic. Love this game.
This album is weird, dramatic, and chaotic as hell. It's great! Wharf (i) and (ii) do a good job to break up the chaos, the second is one of my favorites on the whole album. This is the kind of album where my favorite changes on each listen. Everyone's Tongue was my favorite initially but on the second listen it's Lagoon. Intense, emotive, haunting, sweet, and angry all in one. I love Kristina Esfandiari's vocals and lyric style just as much in Miserable as I do in King Woman. There aren't any songs on this album that I dislike. My favorites are Loverboy, Cheap Ring, and Fever.
Keeps it low-key and simple, with pleasant melodies and fun rhythms. They're not trying too hard, they're just going with the flow. Not every song on this album is my cup of tea, but it doesn't need to be. The songs that stand out to me are like gems. I first heard Night Time when I was probably 15 and I still listen to it regularly now.
