Bad Snacks is one of the most underrated artist I've ever listened to, sitting at around ~64k monthly listeners. I know lo-fi genre isn't as popular as mainstream genres, but there are a plenty of lo-fi artists that has well over 500k monthlies.
If you couldn't tell from my praise, Bad Snacks is one of my favorite non-pop/hiphop artist ever, with this album being my favorite from her. The songs have a downtempo song structure with the lo-fi aspect on top, like audio filters and sound effects, ... read more
One of the best rap albums of 2022. Everything about this album is just great, from JID"s varying flows, his wordplay, the production, to amazing features.
This is my second introduction to JID, the first being his verse on "Enemy", and I can't wait to hear what he has to offer.

A 10 track album full of bangers that I didn't entirely like, but appreciated greatly. My overall gripe with this album was me disliking most of the choruses, but the highs of this album does cover up and increases my enjoyment of this album quite a bit. Looking forward to listening more from Young Thug.

WYCLEF JEANS , PICK UP THE PHONE , KANYE WEST

The intro is miles better than every track in this album except Jimmy Cooks, and that should explain how bad this album really is. Such a boring and uninteresting pop-house album, and everything about this album just screems "Mediocre."
FAVORITES :
JIMMY COOKS , INTRO , STICKY
LEAST FAVORITES :
(Basically the rest of the album, but) CURRENTS , LIABILITY , CALLING MY NAME
Unlike Igor, which I liked how coherent the story was, Flower Boy feels coherent with its production and how earthy and lush it feels. I absolutely adore this album, the production is absolutely transformative and Tyler's performance as well as the features were fantastic.
FAVORITES :
BOREDOM , SEE YOU AGAIN , GARDEN SHED
LEAST FAVOTIES (if i really had to choose) :
DROPPIN' SEEDS , POTHOLE , WHO DAT BOY
Not as consistent as his later albums (obviously), but has amazing songs that I come back to frequently.

LEAST FAVORITES :
TAMMY'S SONG , NO MAKE-UP , AB-SOULS OUTRO
The darkest and hardest set of songs that Denzel released, and my favorite from him by far. Lyrics mostly are great, with the exception of some songs. I love how he handles issues that people go through.

The """"worst"""" (heavy emphasis on the quotations) album from Kendrick, but he never released a bad album in his discography so DAMN. is not too bad. The album has some pretty good lyrics and productions, and the album is decently cohesive with its theming.

DUCKWORTH, DNA, XXX
LEAST FAVORITE TRACKS :
LUST, LOYALTY, YAH

It's insane how ahead of time he was when he dropped this beauty of an album. The album sounds raw and unpolished, but I think that's the main appeal of this album. The lyrics are more on the questionable side of Kanye's discography, but I personally think it adds to that unpolished feeling of this album.
The most vulnerable and open Kendrick has ever been in an album. An emotional rollercoaster with heartbreaking stories.
FAVORITES :
SILENT HILL, AUNTIE DIARIES, FATHER TIME

I don't know what to describe this project as. Is it creative and daring? Or is it just an awfully executed attempt of a "vamp" trap? Also I found it a bit off-putting how he tried to incorporate his 2017~8 sounds into this project with Sky and Place, it feels like Carti doesn't know where he should be going with this project.
Drake's approach of "I don't give a fuck about other people" music, and it can't help but be a painfully mediocre project. It does showcase some decent songs, but the rest are just uninteresting and uninspired.
A 16 track run of Baby Keem showing his potential to be more than he is right now. It features a wide variety of genres, from trademark usa to scars. Although this project does have some rough spots that he could work more on, it is undoubtably a good project.
An odd, trippy project by Ye and Cudi. Very brief, but on point. It's a shame they probably won't be making projects together.
An amazing 12 track run about a man going through jealousy, denial, heartbreak, and acceptance. The pacing is immaculate and it helps to build a world of IGOR, from start to finish.
A classic trap album, and a unique one as well. The repetition from Carti and a psychedelic beat by Pierre make a great combination.
Simply a perfection of an album. A beautiful Jazz Rap project with happiness, struggles, and motivation.

This album was more deep and emotional than I thought it would be, and it certainly left an impression of Kendrick and his early works. Some songs aren’t as up to par sound-wise, but all of them had a correlated story of Kendrick living in Compton, and the skits in the starts and the ends of songs was a plus. This album is great, it is certainly not perfect, but it is damn good.
