pretty cool hardcore-infused death metal. Not necessarily all that unique, particularly in the first half. Still, a very enjoyable listen that makes me miss shows just as much as anything else that's come out this year.
Favorite Tracks: Master Plan, Holocene Extinction, Thirst to Burn, Leather Envy Prison, Expired Utopia/Death for Profit, Caskets of the Poor, Disciple of Deceit
So much fun to listen to, they really stepped up their game on this album after the fun but largely non-musical Toilet.
Favorites: existence, you are pregnant, infinite realm of incomprehensible suffering, van, computers, tears of god
Not quite on the level of either of their previous albums. Just kinda feels like Bad Religion by the numbers at a lot of points. Still a fun listen though.
Favorites: Television, Marked, Incomplete, Better Off Dead, Hooray for Me, Inner Logic
This one gets tough to listen to at points, with the lows being the first truly excruciating lows in Green Day's admittedly probably overlong career. Lazy Bones, however, is one of the best songs they've ever written, and you cannot convince me otherwise.
Favorites: Lazy Bones, Amy, Makeout Party, Wow! That's Loud
Least Favorites: Fuck Time, Nightlife, Lady Cobra, Baby Eyes (demolicious version is dope tho)
Hellishly ugly and disturbing, while also being one of the most beautiful albums I have ever experienced.
Favorite: Do You Doubt Me Traitor
One of my favorite punk albums ever and possibly my favorite Bad Religion album - a big step up from Against The Grain, where it really felt like they were starting to run out of ideas. Every song here is among their best work, beginning with the almost progressive punk opener Generator (Best BR song, hands down) all the way through the last track Only Entertainment, a scathing jab at censorship painted in one of the prettiest musical landscapes they had accomplished at that time. Really my ... read more
The weakest of three albums that make up their classic "unholy trilogy" of Suffer, No Control, and Against the Grain. The majority of the record is great but this is really the first time Bad Religion songs started to feel a bit forgettable, aside from most of the stuff on Into The Unknown of course. Fortunately they started to shake things up a bit with their next few albums.

A lot better than I've ever generally given it credit for. While the production is the weakest of any of their albums - everything is very muddy and grainy and not in a particularly complimentary way - the songs within are some of the best Bad Religion songs ever. A truly singular album in their vast discography, it is super cool to hear them play around with some country-esque, twangy sounds and more midtempo stuff. I personally would say that this is the album where they really hit the nail ... read more
Definitely his weakest project to date. Not bad necessarily, but really not that good either..
Favorites: Dr. Kimble, White Bronco
Great to have them back and the proceeds get donated to a great cause, fighting back against something truly despicable that shouldn't even be happening in the first place.
The songs are okay. Nothing special, but nothing offensively low quality. Production and mixing doesn't really do the tracks any justice, everything sounds so thin and inconsequential and it's hard to really pick out all the gold stuff buried beneath the mud. Protect the Land sounds like Aerials, but not as memorable. ... read more
Good album, but very predictable and more or less just Anaal Nathrakh by the numbers. Heavy sections are still great, the melodies aren't their greatest though. Vocals are still top notch.
Favorites: Punish Them, Requiem, Beyond Words, Libidinous, The Age Of Starlight Ends, Create Art Though The World May Perish
I illegally downloaded the entire Mr. Bungle discography sometime in high school. The original Raging Wrath demo was the only piece of that discography I never really was able to stand listening to (even as an avid fan of punk, the audio quality was just so grainy and terrible and so I couldn't ever get more than a few songs through). Hearing these songs in a new light finally does justice to such an interesting period in Bungle's career. Obviously, it's not their best work and it's especially ... read more
Very good album, at least as good as their last 4 albums (aka all of them). The first 10 songs, I would argue are among their best and most memorable. The closer is really my only complaint personally, as someone else mentioned it feels a bit forced (the second half is pretty decent tho)
Favorites: Limelight, Reminders, Come Heroine, Savoring, I'll Be Your Host
Least favorite: A Forecast
Very heavy, very good. Still prefer Caustic but definitely not disappointed in its follow-up
Super interesting and cool to hear various artists' interpretations of the same set of sounds. All of it is expertly crafted and the production and mixing on this are insanely clear, but also very distorted and at times physically painful to listen to. The only issues I have with it really just come down to personal taste (too many songs for its own good, I love some songs but most are just okay in terms of composition). Definitely worth the experience at the very least.

Not just the next logical progression from Suffer but also an improvement in every way. Slightly more memorable songwriting and tighter playing making for a much more diverse and satisfying group of songs.
Favorites: Henchman, Progress, Change of Ideas, Big Bang, No Control, I Want to Conquer the World, I Want Something More
Most of the songs are among Bad Religion's best. However, the album falls too deeply into the trap of every song sounding the same (even more so than other Bad Religion albums) and by the end starts to feel a little stale. Every song on it's own is good enough though to at least somewhat male up for this.
