Nas - Magic
78

A good record that starts a solid Magic series that greatly compliments the King's Disease series. Though King's Disease would end up reaching greater heights, Magic started off hotter than King's Disease, in my opinion, with a more well rounded sound than King's Disease. Overall, I would give this record a listen if you haven't already.

Nas - Nastradamus
77

A record that I feel is personally over hated, this record ends up being pretty good despite a few low points. Even with a song like Big Girl that probably sounded bad at the time and sounds even worse now, this album still features some interesting cuts with songs like Family, where Nas enlists Mobb Deep to add another flavor to a song that ends up being my favorite off of the LP. I would say that this album is worth a listen, despite the hate given to it.

Nas - Magic 3
73

Seemingly the end of the Magic series, and with that ending on a good note. Sitting With My Thoughts and Jodeci Member were two of the best that came off of this LP, and they do a lot for the replay ability of the record. Overall, I would say this record is worth a listen.

Nas - Life is Good
72

A good record that marks the end of the first resurgence of Nas. Several great cuts off of this one, with No Introduction and World's An Addiction making a big impact on the replay ability of this record. Overall, I would say that this record is worth a listen.

Nas - Street's Disciple
70

A much longer record than Nas usually goes for, this one ends up being pretty solid. Though this is probably one of Nas's longer records, and on certain songs it feels that way, the record overall does enough to make it worth it, with songs like Thief's Theme and Street's Disciple that do a lot for the replay ability of the record. Would recommend listening to this if you are a Nas fan.

Nas - It Was Written
69

A nice follow up to Illmatic, though it doesn't really reach the same heights as Illmatic. This record features my favorite Nas song of all time, The Message, a record that exemplifies the sound of the time and can make even the most suburb white person alive feel like they are in the middle of the trenches. Would recommend listening to this record for previous Nas fans.

Nas - King's Disease
69

Pretty solid record that begins Nas's second resurgence in his career. Even though this is probably the weakest record of the King's Disease series, it sets the stage for the two that would come after, and what a stage it set. Would recommend listening to this if you are a Nas fan.

Nas & Damian Marley - Distant Relatives
62

A solid album that features a nice chemistry between two artists that normally wouldn't be around each other. Tribes At War is definitely the highlight track of this one, as the lyricism and the production with the drums and background vocals leads to a very epic anthem of the problems of modern society. Overall, I would say this record is worth a listen if you have liked either of these guys in the past.

Nas - Stillmatic
57

Another mixed bag from the early 2000s era of Nas, as he was still seeming to figure out his sound post 90s. Obviously, two of the stand out tracks, One Mic and Ether, do a lot for the memorability of this record, but there are still several other songs that fall flat on their faces. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this to someone unfamiliar with Nas, but if you have liked Nas in the past, this one may be worth a listen.

Nas - NASIR
57

A short, average record that doesn't overstay it's welcome. A major highlight of this record for me is everything, with a captivating 7 minutes of interesting lyricism and production. Regardless, this record is only worth a listen if you have liked Nas in the past, otherwise you won't find a ton of value in the project.

Nas - The Lost Tapes
55

A relatively mixed bag of songs that leads to a somewhat average record, which may be a testament to Nas's talent considering that this was a record of scrapped album songs. A major highlight of this record was definitely Blaze a 50, as the storytelling on this one felt on par with the normal that Nas would always produce. Regardless, I would probably only recommend this album to those who have messed with Nas in the past.

Juice WRLD - Legends Never Die
78

REDUX REVIEW: Original Score: 94
While I still think this is a pretty good record, it's hard to say that I still believe this is Juice's best work. As far as for the disappointments of relistening to this record again, I found Smile to actually be pretty disinteresting especially in regards to the Weeknd feature, Screw Juice and Can't Die were both musical nothing burgers, and I still don't like Tell Me U Luv Me. And then of course there are the standard occasional cringe ... read more

Juice WRLD - Goodbye & Good Riddance
93

From a musical quality, this is about as good as Juice WRLD can be. This album really accentuates Juice WRLD's rapping range, as no beat sounds close to any other throughout the record. Features a lot of Juice's classic songs, and overall is a very entertaining and enjoyable listen. Would definitely recommend listening to this record.

Juice WRLD - Death Race For Love
68

A decent record that features a few low points, but more high points. Juice WRLD always has his cringe lyrics, and some of them undoubtably ruin a few songs on this record. At the same time, this record features some of the best songs in Juice's catalog. Overall, the good outweighs the bad, leading to an interesting listen from start to finish. Would recommend listening to this album if you are a fan of Juice WRLD.

Juice WRLD - Fighting Demons
47

REDUX REVIEW: Original Score: 59
On a relisten this one just disappointed me more than I was expecting unfortunately. As far as positives, Burn was surprisingly a better song than I remember, and actually ended up being one of my favorites off of this LP. Cigarettes is still probably my favorite off of this record, as I still feel like this is the closest thing to something that Juice WRLD would actually put on his own album. Other than that there are some interesting production choices ... read more

An interesting sound that just hasn't been fleshed out yet fully on this record. A lot of potential in this group considering this was their first record, but are still in the process of experimenting with their sound. Even with the potential of this group, there isn't really any reason to recommend this album to anyone other than for the sake of exposing them to this group.

Drake - Views
45

A rather mixed bag of songs on this one that are often very hit or miss. While there are a few major highlights on the record (Keep The Family Close, Feel No Ways, and Views), there are other songs like One Dance that fall flat on their face. I wouldn't recommend this record to anybody unless they really have enjoyed Drake's music in the past.

2pac & The Notorious B.I.G. - Unsolved
40

A seemingly rushed album to potentially cash in on the names of two of raps biggest stars of all time. A lot of this album is carried by the natural talents that both Biggie and 2Pac have. Nevertheless, this album feels more like scraps of two of the best rap artists ever hastily put together in a somewhat messy record. Besides, Don't Go To Sleep, not a lot worth listening to unless you're craving 90s old school rap.

Drake - Nothing Was the Same
40

Though this isn't close to the lows that Drake would later reach in his career, this album feels like a shift towards the worst in the career of Drake. To me, this album begins to see Drake break away from the old mindset of working hard and trying to better himself constantly and begins to be more complacent. Besides Tuscan Leather and Hold On, We're Going Home, unless you're a Drake fan, there isn't a whole lot of value in this record.

Drake - More Life
32

A boring, slog of an album with this one. Featuring boring vocals and a fake Jamaican accent from Drake, there isn't a whole lot to say about this record, considering how unmemorable and boring a lot of the songs are. Besides Passionfruit, there isn't much worth listening to off of this record.
