I mean shit like wtf was even that. It's Parannoul's coming of age album, leaving the past him behind and accepting that it's okay to grow up. Many people are at this time in their lives, and it's hard for us to not look back at our past with regrets. However it's important as you grow up to recognize that you don't have to carry those burdens with you anymore. Parannoul ditches the person he was on TSTNPOTD and is growing up. This album also just sounds insane, ... read more
It does the post-punk formula very well. While it doesn't stray terribly far from its contemporaries, it still stands out in quality. I come back to this often for quite a few tracks.
King Crimson's underrated masterpiece. It takes some getting used to this sound and how slow some of the tracks can be. But the more jazz focused KC really deliver. Especially on the emotional and beautiful last track.
Again another stain on an amazing discography. It's listenable but I didn't care for fax gang at all.
Unfortunately you can really feel the disparity in quality over the project and skill levels of each of the contributors. Parannoul easily carries this project, it's not even close. And the other two mostly just hold it back. If he released his stuff on a solo EP I think it would've been better received.
Some really high points on here that i was absolutely floored by. However that's contrasted with some questionable beat selection and delivery on other tracks. Still pretty good
I don't think I can even rate this thing. It shouldn't exist conceptually. It's good sonically and I enjoyed every track other than the devils triangle. But because it's such an obvious circle jerk from the band over the success of the previous record I don't really feel like giving it much attention
honestly really enjoyed this. I dont particularly listen to chiptune or drum and bass on my own outside of some videogame soundtracks. But this was really good. The first song incorporated such good shoegaze too. Only thing is I wish more tracks were that shoegazey.
On some real shit I low-key started getting emotional to the final track after beating D.O.G. in my recent calamity playthrough. I usually just play music in the background of my playthroughs but I listened to this on instead while playing. It's a shame that dokuro got essentially chased out of the Terraria and Calamity communities due to people calling this soundtrack shit. To all those people, you know nothing of music and I hope you hate yourselves for bullying and berating a talent of ... read more
It feels unfinished. Unpolished, like a woodworkers nightmare. So much potential packed into the album that would've shined so much more if they just gave it that extra attention they gave ITCOCK.
I deleted my last review. Read the inside of the bifold vinyl. It all makes sense now
I really can't pin down what exactly this is. Usually when you hear an album you can pretty easily describe it to someone else. I don't think I could with Frances the Mute. Maybe the best I can do is Avant-Prog. But it's not as abstract and out there. Still weird and artsy. Either way it's fantastic.
My family is quite large, so much so that it's difficult to get together for events or even just to see everyone. However we would have this tradition where we all go out to this campground just off of the 395 highway in California. It's called Convict lake, it's just south of Mammoth lakes. It's a trailer pull in campground that just about anyone with a car, a tent, and some free time should check out if they find themselves in the area. Out family would fill up the inner ... read more
Just a note, my review is of the expanded edition. As it's the only one on apple music as far as I'm aware.
For me there is some magic in this album, the synergy between the band is at an all time peak on this album and you can really tell. Yes there are some misses on this album, however going 12/14 is a really good streak. Honestly to me this album is underrated, none of my friends (even the music heads) really give a shit about this album. And I personally think that's ... read more
