The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds
94

Two of the most perfect pop songs ever written, and a bunch of other good to great ones

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced
86

Weaker than the US version but still pretty good

Sonic Youth - Bad Moon Rising
84

Severely Underrated. Death Valley ‘69 is the best no-wave era Sonic Youth song

Miles Davis - Dark Magus
79

Starts off really strong, but gets a bit samey after a while

David Bowie - David Bowie
33

Same man who made Heroes…

LCD Soundsystem - This Is Happening
93

I love LCD Soundsystem but why is James allergic to making a song under 7 minutes

The Doors - The Doors
79

The Doors are at their best when Jim Morrison shuts the fuck up

The Who - My Generation
61

What is it with 60s British rock bands and filing their albums with mediocre covers

Can - Tago Mago
100

If it was just the first disc this would one of the greatest albums of all time

Dead Kennedys - Plastic Surgery Disasters
100

I love Fresh Fruit, but I feel that nearly everything that album does, this one does better. While Fresh Fruit is a great collection of songs, Plastic Surgery Disasters truly feels like a cohesive album; I love the sequencing, with all the short songs occupying side A, building up to side B’s longer, more menacing tracks, which of course culminates with “Moon Over Marin”, one of the greatest punk songs ever written

The Rolling Stones - Beggars Banquet
80

Sympathy for the Devil hard carries

The Replacements - Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash
72

Starts off promising, but quickly looses steam

The Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed
85

Kind of hard to keep the energy up if you open your album with the greatest song ever written, followed by several mediocre country songs. I will say though, the last two tracks absolutely win me back

Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense
100

Score is for the Deluxe Edition with every song

The Smiths - The Smiths
79

Still Ill is one of my favorite Smiths songs, but the rest of the album is just alright. Would be better with This Charming Man

The Beatles - Please Please Me
64

No Paul, I don’t know what you mean

Gang of Four - Gang of Four
60

Goes to show just how much of a lightning in a bottle “Entertainment” truly was

Television - Marquee Moon
100

I go back and forth all the time, but on most days if you asked me what my all time favorite album is, I would answer this one
