DAGames - You're Mine

great novelty and it has a kickass keyboard solo for no reason.

The Residents - Meet the Residents

?
Weird, sure, but not in an endearing way at all.

Daft Punk - Discovery

It sounds so iconic. Not all of this is to my liking but the strong points in this album are INCREDIBLY strong.
Favorites: Aerodynamic, Harder Better Faster Stronger, Crescendolls, Voyager
Least favorite: High Life, Too Long

David Bowie - Station to Station

Title track is great, and the rest is alright.
Favorite: Station to Station, TVC15, Stay
Least favorite: Golden Years, Word on a Wing.

Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf

This album is undeniably good but very few of these songs hit for me. I did like the few skits sprinkled throughout the album though.
Edit: The bangers on this album, though few, are incredible. Bumps the score a bit.
favorite:, Go with the flow, First Giveth, God is in the radio, Song for the Deaf
Least favorite: The sky is falling, six shooter

Candy Claws - Ceres & Calypso in the Deep Time
80

I think it's easy to dismiss this as just a wall of noise. But when you really start to pay attention, you begin to notice how lush and serene the instrumentation is, and how heavenly those vocals really are.
I think the album cover helps paint the picture this album wants. It is a really, really good album cover.
Also, the bass in this album is nuts it caught me off guard quite a bit.

David Bowie - Hunky Dory
82

Inconsistent, but my god is it good when it's good. Quicksand is the prettiest thing I've heard in my life. I also like the more tongue-in-cheek moments in the album, they're neat.

Ween - Freedom of '76
100

Top 3 Ween song.

Ween - Tried and True
100

Mountains and Buffalo is actually pretty good.

Ween - Transdermal Celebration
100

Not the best song on Quebec, but still one of their best songs.

Ween - Ocean Man
100

Quietly one of the best songs ever made. You can just tell how the subtle keyboard strokes in the background of this song led to the entire spongebob soundtrack.

Nick Drake - Pink Moon
83

Pretty and blue.
Favorites: Pink Moon, Things Behind the Sun, Free Ride
Least favorite: Road, Horn, Know

Acid Bath - When the Kite String Pops
84

I really do like this album. It stands out in a good way, and I do respect it for being a pioneer in a neat genre, but man this thing is flawed. Not to such a high detriment that the album is soiled because of it, but still, do the songs here need to be as long as they are? I feel like all the 6-minute tracks, with the exception of track 4, could've been cut down a bit. The album just feels a lot longer than it actually is (and it already is pretty long), and I'm not sure if that's because of ... read more

JPEGMAFIA - LP! (Offline Version)

I was surprised to find that this album was very instrumental. It's pretty good won't lie. Yeah.
I was hoping to walk out of this album thinking Scaring The Hoes was a better project, but nah, they're about the same.
Favorites: Rebound, Dirty, What Kinda Rappin Is This, Thots Prayer, Dikembe, Fire Emoji, Hazard Duty Pay
Least favorite: Trust, 100 emoji, Nice!, DAM DAM DAM

Kanye West - The College Dropout

Great album. It shows Kanye's immense talent. A lot of these songs are as iconic as they are incredible. I also really love the theming of this album. However, this album undeniably has some... questionable tracks, like New Workout Plan. But for every less-than-stellar song, there are 3 amazing ones.
As an album, it is greater than the sum of its parts.
Favorite: We Don't Care, All Falls Down, Never Let Me Down, Two Words, Family Business, Last Call
Least favorite: Get Em High, Breathe in ... read more

Nujabes - Metaphorical Music
86

It's beautiful, and it really doesn't have any bad songs. Whether this is better than Modal Soul or not is up to you, this is basically just as good as that album, but a toned down on the quote-unquote "lo-fi" hip hop stuff.
Favorites: Blessing It, Lady Brown, Beat Laments the World, F.I.L.O, Next View
Least favorite: Horn in the Middle, Highs 2 Low, Latitude.

Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez See Your Future (The Extended Edition)
83

The extension has some fantastic do-overs, honestly outshining the original tracks on the album, and the two new tracks are pretty damn good.
I do wish the vocals were mixed a bit lower though.
favorites (only for disc 2): Walkin, Mental, Chrome Hearts, Larger than life (favorite), The Ills

Joy Division - Closer

I didn't like this album. The songs on this just sounded repetitive and outright bad. I swear the vocalist sings the exact same way in every song, and I don't mean the raw sound of his voice, but the way he sings, if that makes sense. Now granted, there were some decent songs on here, but as a whole I didn't enjoy this project.
I gotta hand it to this album though, the writing in these lyrics is really good.

Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures

The bass is really heavy in this album, adding to the dreary atmosphere a lot. The vocals also have a very effective echo effect. I can see how this album was a pioneer, it's really interesting, though mostly not for me.
Also the last 2 tracks on this thing SUCK.
least favorite: I remember Nothing, Interzone
