You guys don't understand just how incredible Deacon Blues is.
I'm not sure what the difference between this and Heroes is for me, but the ambient stuff on here is not that great.

I struggle to call this bad, because it isn't... I just didn't like it all that much. Tracks 3 and 10 are solid though.
Really good release from Earl. The Alchemist compliments his style really well.
By and large one of the prettiest math rock releases I have heard. I might be stretching but I think it embraces some Japanese Music motifs.
Though some of the slower songs on this, like Carefree Country Day, are very beautiful, this album as a whole is terribly dull.

Why does he sound like John Lennon on Be Above It?
Good album though I feel like the mixing on the vocals turns me off. It's so low to the point where an effect petal or two would turn this into a shoegaze album. The production is just very overbearing.
Elephants also makes me want to say "boots with the furrrrr" after some of the lines.

It honestly wasn't that bad. Still a disappointment when compared to classic Steely Dan, but a solid album overall.
Incredible. The energy and steez this album emanates will surely capture anyone's attention.

Meh. Has some good moments but, unsurprisingly, wasn't special. I wouldn't even call it bad, just, so unlike Steely Dan. Seriously, hearing the vocals be mixed so poorly made me suffer from whiplash.
Edit: liked it a ton more on second listen. I'd actually say its incredibly underrated, and it even has some top-tier dan songs. This album does, however, some of the weakest lyrics of all time, but if you can get past that the sounds are still great.
I was not at all disappointed with what I heard. I've been meaning to check out Takanaka for a while now, and I'm glad I did. This guy is such a legend.
Really fun and cozy album.

Neat synthpop. Despite their length, the songs turn out fine.

Incredibly engaging and unique, loved every second of this.

I actually went out of my way to listen to the songs that were sampled here. At least from the tracks that I liked. This album is not only incredible in the way it weaves energetic and forward-thinking beats so effortlessly, but in how it connects an audience to music outside of it.

This album exists in a strange limbo for me. I can't hate it-- hell, I can't even say I dislike it without diverting my gaze, but I can't say that I like it either.
I will say that I feel like if these songs went somewhere instead of being repetitive, I would've loved this album. But as it stands, I am utterly incapable of articulating my thoughts on this thing. I'm glad a form of art that can bemuse me like this exists.
