King Diamond - Abigail
79

Loudwire's Top 50 Metal Albums of All TIme - #41

Edit: Yes vocals get really annoying sometimes I see that now. Dropped to a 79
King Diamond is the guy from Mercyful Fate lol and he made a concept album

Here is one thing that I've seen come from people...

"King Diamond's vocals are a turn off on this album"

I disagree. The vocal performance is actually one of my favorite things from the album. I think they fit well with this album, although MAYBE I can see where people are coming ... read more

Neurosis - Times of Grace

Loudwire's Top 50 Metal Albums of All Time - #42

It's been a while, again. Sorry about that, I just really have been burnt out of writing reviews. Hopefully I'll pick steam up soon, but I don't want to force myself to write a review and have it be of poor quality. I would like to only put out quality reviews from now on instead of just rushing myself. Alright, here we go...

Times of Grace by Neurosis. I had no clue that this band existed before the list dive. Apparently this is what the ... read more

Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness

Loudwire's Top 50 Metal Albums of All Time - #44

So I took a short break, and stuff like that. We back at it again with the top 50 list. Here's an album straight from the depths of hell, Altars of Madness by Morbid Angel. The world is not safe from this album.

Altars of Madness is an essential death metal record. Nothing really else to say, it's just a really well put together, consistent death metal record from start to finish, with no duds. From Immortal Rites to Evil Spirits, it has sick ... read more

Darkthrone - A Blaze in the Northern Sky

Loudwire's Top 50 Metal Albums of All Time - #46

More black metal :(

This album is the first of the three studio albums that make up the "Unholy Trinity". I personally won't be checking those albums out, unless someone desperately wants me to. However, this is on the list of the Top 50 of All Time. Surely it must be good.

Again, some of yall know exactly how I feel about black metal. For those who are unaware, I never was into it because it seemed too edgy for my taste. I always ... read more

Loudwire's Top 50 Metal Albums of All Time - #47

Absolutely disgusting... in a good way. Lyrically and instrumentally, this is a disgusting fucking album. And I love it for that.

Cannibal Corpse are one of the biggest death metal bands, even today. Their fourth studio album, entitled "The Bleeding", is currently the fifth best-selling death metal album of all time.

First thing that I have to express is my absolute enjoyment of the first two tracks. The first two tracks, ... read more

Mayhem - De mysteriis dom Sathanas

Loudwire's Top 50 Metal Albums of All Time - #49

Dear God... Literally, dear God.

Mayhem's De mysteriis dom Sathanas is one hell of a unique album. Background story is absolutely bonkers and I can hear someone retell that story to me over and over again and not get bored. This album would not be as well known if it weren't for the backstory knowledge of the history of the band.

Now, I haven't actually tried listening to any black metal at all. Of course I heard Freezing Moon which is ... read more

Accept - Balls to the Wall

Loudwire's Top 50 Metal Albums of All Time - #50

NOTE: For the next two months or so I will be reviewing each metal album on Loudwire's top 50 metal albums of all time, from September 8, 2015. This means that I will probably be re-reviewing some albums for the sake of this little activity I'm deciding to do. At the end I will be ranking the fifty albums on a list from worst to best, in my personal opinion of course. Without further ado...

Wow, I didn't expect to enjoy this record as much as I ... read more

Pantera - The Great Southern Trendkill
96

Pantera is one of the greatest metal bands of the 90s. This album is one of the best from them. The Great Southern Trendkill is such a killer intro, with War Nerve as the follow up is actually insane. Suicide Note, 10's, you get the point, this is a W album.

Floods, though. Absolutely a masterpiece. Would give it a 101 if I could. The solo and the end part are just too good.

Absolutely must check this album out if you are a metal enjoyer. Heavy as hell, and it's got no filler whatsoever. ... read more

Travis Scott - UTOPIA

OK, first Travis Scott album. You could argue what album I should've listened to first, I don't care, but this album was popping off for a little bit upon release, so I decided to check it out.

I rate a lot of rock and metal stuff most of the time, but this doesn't mean that I would be intimidated by this release. I loved most of it. Some moments weren't amazing, but overall I think this was a fantastic project. Just, hit the spot.

That intro track drew me in so well.

Final rating: 87.4 ... read more

Drake - For All The Dogs
NR

Drake album with a yellow review average, what a surprise.

Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare
90

tonight we all die young.

Slaughter to Prevail - Demolisher

Absolutely fantastic vocals. Guitar, bass, and drums are too, but the vocals just are so so good. Alex Terrible is one of the greatest metal vocalists of today.

Slaughter to Prevail - Viking
100

Edited review: Alex Terrible is NOT one of the greatest metal vocalists of all time, but honestly this song is still a standout in modern deathcore and I absolutely love it.

Old review: Alex Terrible is one of the greatest metal vocalists of all time

Corey Taylor - CMF2
43

Corey "Mother-Fucking" Taylor the Second

So apparently, according to user scores, this is a bad album. I didn't think it was THAT bad, but it's still pretty mid. I haven't listened to CMFT 1, but I don't think I should because this was pretty mid. Forgettable is the best word to use to describe this album. I love Corey Taylor but I don't like Corey "Mother-Fucking" Taylor.

It's a pretty weird record for me personally. I haven't listened to any Stone Sour before, and I have ... read more

Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water 2: It's Boilin' Time

Aphex Twin - On

it's a good release, but it's not as good as his other projects.

C418 - Minecraft - Volume Beta
100

Minecraft: Volume Beta (2013) (so far the longest album I've ever listened to, and probably the only album that I'd listen to that's this long)

------And So It Begins------

This is essentially just an extension to Minecraft Volume Alpha, which is one of my favorite albums of all time. As per what I expected, Minecraft Volume Beta is just as good as Volume Alpha, a soothing experience from start to finish.
No other game has a soundtrack as perfect as Minecraft's soundtrack. It will always have ... read more

Soundgarden - Superunknown

This is (currently) one of the only albums that I have a vinyl version of. I love vinyl, and I love this album. No misses on this thing. Chris Cornell has 10/10 vocals, and the instrumentals are insane too. Fucking masterpiece.
