"__a message from MHIE. “hello. my body is killing me from a brain disease called multiple sclerosis. i am making as much music as i can before inevitability i wake up one day unable to function. because of the nature of the disease, it can be any moment."
Damn bro. This just makes the project sadder tbh.
I found this project simply because I was looking for some ambient music to listen to and relax to. What I ended up finding was this little hidden gem that took me to a more ... read more

Do I even need to explain myself? This is a classic metal album.
Metallica is one of the biggest metal bands of all time, there is no need for introduction. Their self titled is the last album of their big five albums, which are considered their greatest albums. The album is no Master of Puppets or Ride The Lightning, but it's definitely not a Load or a Reload.
One of the most popular metal albums, Metallica went for a more mainstream sound ... read more
This album is probably his most controversial one, as from what I could tell on this site. You have people who love it and people who hate it, and then you have the few that are in the middle.
Me personally, I really like it. The production might be overblown at times, however there's a lot of cool ideas here. It's a lot more experimental, and Tyler seems to be going even louder with this release. He even has a lot of features on this thing to enjoy, even though I believe some of them are ... read more
Wolf is a significant improvement over Tyler's last two projects. The new direction that Tyler was going in was definitely a good one that positively impacted the quality of the album.
What you'll get with Wolf is a less edgy version of Tyler. This album has more upbeat production with less lyrics about "rape and cutting bodies up", if not none at all. The songs sound more fleshed out and less predictable, and the album just seems more ambitious overall.
Of course, some of the ... read more
Toyota - Let's Go Places: The Album
Imagine Dragons. One of the most hated bands from my knowledge, and they were the first band I actively started listening to. I have decided to revisit this project in particular because I remember this one being one of the better ones.
I'm still really glad that I got into ID because without them I don't think I would've taken music as seriously as I do now. This was the first band/artist that I had a somewhat extensive knowledge of, up until @supera got ... read more
I'm a fucking unicorn.
I mean, it's definitely a step down from Bastard, in fact, the problems from Bastard get worse here, but I do think that, like Bastard, it has its highlights. Yonkers is a classic, probably the best song from this project, I'm not gonna lie. Other highlight is She.
However, other than that, the lyrics/writing on here are pretty bad and it's absolutely hilarious.

"I'm awesome, and I fuck dolphins"

Tyler's debut mixtape, while at times edgy and forgettable, is still a really solid debut for someone like him.
Still a little weird to compare this to his newer stuff, although that's probably just me

Another black metal release on this list is Emperor's second studio album, Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk. From the start, this doesn't seem like your ordinary Norwegian black metal. It seems like these guys actually have potential with what they are trying to do, expressing their symphonic and atmospheric elements. This isn't a band that's here to mess around, this is the real deal.
As much as I see these black metal bands be praised for their ... read more
I mean, yeah, as an experience itself this deserves to be a 100. This is ruthless.
I'm feeling a little sick today. I have a headache and a fever. Lmfao.
What better way to spend my sick time with this album. Every single song sounds really samey and it gets old real quick. I saw *some* enjoyment out of the first two tracks, but overall it just seems really annoying. I could see myself getting really annoyed with this sound real quick.
Gonna have to side with Brad on this one. Album cover goes hard. This is the only pro about this album.
It's the same thing over and over ... read more
Oh no. No no, this isn't music. I don't like this David. No that's enough. No David I don't like that, no.
This was my #1 song for this year's Spotify Wrapped.
I see why. This song is one of the best songs of the 90s, and was also was the song that pushed me into being a metalhead. The song is essentially perfect, with the catchy instrumental and JD's interesting choices of vocal performance.
Everyone knows the scatting/breakdown part. Best part of the song.

In short, Mercyful Fate's "Don't Break The Oath" has stunning guitar performances and fantastic instrumentals, but King Diamond's vocals are a little too overexaggerated for my taste. I also believe the lyrics could be quite cringe at times if you asked me. However, despite the fact that King Diamond would overexaggerate his vocals on his work, it's no denying he shows potential in this release for some pretty good albums later down ... read more
Pantera - Far Beyond Driven (1994)
Pantera's Far Beyond Driven is Pantera's seventh studio album, and their third album with vocalist Phil Anselmo. It released on March 22, 1994, and debuted at NUMBER ONE on Billboard. The album received a fairly positive reception upon release, although most people have argued that their previous album, Vulgar Display of Power, was clearly the better release. However, I'd argue the opposite.
While Pantera's Vulgar Display of Power is an absolutely fantastic ... read more
Surprise review: The final Pantera album :(
Pantera's ninth studio album (fifth one with Phil Anselmo) is more or so just the band working to make a good enough metal record, not really attempting anything special, just trying to lay back and create a kick-ass metal record. I don't blame them because they had already reached peak heaviness with their last album, "The Great Southern Trendkill", released in 1996. If they went even heavier, who knows what it would've sounded like? Me ... read more

Here's one of the most influential albums of all of metal, Korn's self titled from 1994.
Just a year before the album's release, Korn was born in Bakersfield, California. With Ross Robinson, Korn created one of the most influential metal records not just in metal, but also in my musical journey as well. I hold this record in a special place of my heart because it allowed me to discover a wide variety of metal artists not just in nu ... read more

Again with the black metal.
Bathory's self titled album from 1984. Here's one complaint I have: Why the hell didn't the intro not transition into Hades so well on Spotify?? It sounded like it would do it, I mean it clearly was supposed to, but it doesn't! Immediate 0/10, bye bye, see yall in a week.
Nah I'm playing. Hades is the follow up track, and it's FIRE. I was expecting black metal, and that's exactly what I got, but not that edgelord ... read more
